A device for treatment of cells with particles is disclosed. The device includes a semi-permeable membrane positioned between two plates, the first plate defining a first flow chamber and comprising a port, a flow channel, a transverse port, and a transverse flow channel, the first flow chamber constructed and arranged to deliver fluid in a transverse direction along the first side of the semi-permeable membrane, the second plate defining a second flow chamber and comprising a port. A method for transducing cells is disclosed. The method includes introducing a fluid with cells and viral particles into a flow chamber adjacent a semi-permeable membrane such that the cells and the viral particles are substantially evenly distributed on the semi-permeable membrane. The method also includes introducing a recovery fluid to suspend the cells and the viral particles, and separating the cells from the viral particles. A method of activating cells is disclosed.

The present disclosure relates to a cell potential detection device, a method of manufacturing the cell potential detection device, and an information processing system that enable prevention of culture solution for a cell from leaking. The cell potential detection device includes: a cell potential detection chip including an electrode unit that detects potential of a cell; a substrate on which the cell potential detection chip is implemented; a first member sealing a connection electrically connecting the cell potential detection chip and the substrate; and a second member layered on the first member, the second member forming a liquid-storage portion that stores culture solution for the cell, together with the first member. The present technology can be applied to, for example, a semiconductor module in which packaged is a chip that detects the potential at an action-potential source point due to a chemical change of a cell.

A cell detector includes a light emitter, a culture vessel that accommodates a culture medium containing a cell, a first slit member including a first slit and a first light shield, and at least one light receiver that receives light emitted from the light emitter and passing through the culture medium and the first slit in the first slit member in an order of the culture medium and the first slit. The first light shield in the first slit member blocks light emitted from the light emitter and scattered by the cell in the culture vessel when the cell is at a position overlapping the first slit.

FULL-OCEAN-DEPTH FIDELITY ENZYMOLOGICAL MEASUREMENT DEVICE FOR MICROBIAL EXTRACELLULAR ENZYMES

A full-ocean-depth fidelity enzymological measurement device for microbial extracellular enzyme is provided, comprising a pressure-maintaining sampling bottle, pressure-maintaining transfer equipment, a pressure-maintaining enzymological reactor, and heat preservation equipment and enzyme activity detection equipment. The pressure-maintaining enzymological reactor comprises a barrel body, a plug, polytetrafluoroethylene gaskets, an O-ring, a piston, a high-pressure straight-through valve, and a high-pressure connector. The pressure-maintaining enzymological reactor is in a closed barrel body shape and is internally provided with the piston, and the plug and the valve are arranged at each of two ends of the pressure-maintaining enzymological reactor; and the valve is connected to the pressure-maintaining transfer equipment through the high-pressure connector. According to the full-ocean-depth fidelity enzymological measurement device provided by the present disclosure, full-ocean-depth (0-11000 m) sample pressure-maintaining sampling and transferring can be achieved; and sample collection, transferring and enzymological reaction can be conducted under in-situ pressure and temperature conditions.

Provided is an antibacterial agent-containing dried plate having no cracks on an observation surface (a part of the plate corresponding to an observation visual field of a microscope). According to the present embodiment, an antibacterial agent-introduced plate obtained by introducing an antibacterial agent and performing vacuum drying has a recess at an edge of a well, and a microscopic observation portion, which has a surface substantially parallel to a well bottom surface, near the center of the well. The recess is provided between the microscopic observation portion and a side wall of the well, and is lower in height than the microscopic observation portion. Further, at least the bottom surface of the well and the microscopic observation portion are made of a material having a light-transmitting property in order for optical measurement (FIG. 1).

An assembly with a holder for a deep-well multi-well plate to attach it to a base has an adjustable-angle joint. The base is attached to a conventional incubator shaker tray via screws or a sticky pad. The adjustable-angle joint allows maintaining the desired angle of the plate, even at full shaking speed.
