Culturing assistance device, observation device and program
A culturing assistance device includes an image acquisition unit configured to acquire a captured image of cells during culturing at determined times, a storage control unit configured to store the captured image acquired by the image acquisition unit and event information indicating an event related to culturing of the cells, and a learning unit configured to learn a relationship between the stored captured image and the stored event information.
Method and system for picking up and collecting plant matter
The invention relates to a method and system for picking up and collecting plant matter, in particular plant embryos. To pick up the plant matter, a pick-up unit is used that is mounted to a robotic arm. According to the invention, two separate imaging steps are performed at two different positions of the pick-up unit. The first imaging step is performed to identify an isolated piece of plant matter. The second imaging step is performed when the pick-up unit is at a confirming position and enables a verification of whether a piece of plant matter has been picked up or not. The confirming position is in between the position of the pick-up unit for picking up plant matter and the position for depositing plant matter in suitable receptacles.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR VAPORIZED HYDROGEN PEROXIDE CLEANING OF AN INCUBATION CHAMBER
A method is provided for vaporized hydrogen peroxide cleaning of a chamber. The method includes altering a temperature of air in the chamber from an initial temperature to a sterilization temperature over a first time period. The method also includes injecting vaporized hydrogen peroxide into air in the chamber to alter a relative humidity of hydrogen peroxide vapor in the chamber to a sterilization level over the first time period. The method also includes maintaining the temperature at the sterilization temperature and the relative humidity at the sterilization level over a second time period. The method also includes reducing the relative humidity from the sterilization level to a safe level over a third time period. In one embodiment, the method is provided for vaporized hydrogen peroxide cleaning of an interior chamber of an incubation container. In other embodiments, the incubation chamber featured in the method is provided.
Networked incubator operation
Aspects of the present invention relate to a networked cell culture incubator and to methods for operating such an in-cubator. In one aspect, the cell culture incubator includes a network interface for communicating with a source of parameter data utilized successfully by other incubators. The incubator receives appropriate parameter data and conducts the incubation process as rescribed by the parameter data so as to provide an improved environment for cell culture growth. The incubator may share its own parameter data with the data source for use by other incubators. The incubator and data source may share other forms of data as well.
AUTOMATED CONTROL OF CELL CULTURE USING RAMAN SPECTROSCOPY
The monitoring and control of bioprocesses is provided. The present disclosure provides the ability to generate generic calibration models, independent of cell line, using inline Raman probes to monitor changes in glucose, lactate, glutamate, ammonium, viable cell concentration (VCC), total cell concentration (TCC) and product concentration. Calibration models were developed from cell culture using two different CHOK1SV GS-KO™ cell lines producing different monoclonal antibodies (mAbs). Developed predictive models, qualified using an independent CHOK1SV GS-KO™ cell line not used in calibration, measured changes in glucose, lactate, ammonium, VCC, and TCC with minor prediction errors over the course of cell culture with minimal cell line dependence. The development of these generic models allows the application of spectroscopic PAT techniques in a clinical manufacturing environment, where processes are typically run once or twice in GMP manufacturing based on a common platform process.
HEATING ASSEMBLY FOR A BIOREACTOR AND AN ASSOCIATED METHOD THEREOF
A heating assembly for a bioreactor is disclosed. The heating assembly includes a holder having a plurality of segments coupled to each other to define a unitary structure and a heating component coupled to at least one segment of the plurality of segments. The unitary structure includes a top end, a bottom end, and a side wall. The side wall extends between the top end and the bottom end and along a circumferential direction of the heating assembly to define a cavity. At least a portion of the unitary structure has a gradually varied perimeter along a direction perpendicular to a plane which intersects the side wall and is parallel to the top end and the bottom end.
MEDIA FORMULATIONS AND PRODUCTION
Methods, devices, and graphical user interfaces are provided for providing a user interface based on an identified candidate cell culture media formulation, the user interface comprising a plurality of affordances corresponding to different media attributes of the identified candidate cell culture media formulation and receiving, by the computer, a selection of at least one of the plurality of affordances corresponding to different media attributes of the identified candidate cell culture media formulation. In some embodiments, a selected cell culture is identified based on the selection. Further, some embodiments include providing a plurality of ingredients combinable into a plurality of cell culture media formulations; selecting a subset of the plurality of ingredients based on the selected cell culture media formulation; and preparing the selected cell culture media formulation using the subset of the plurality of ingredients.
CELL CULTURE CONTAINER, AUTOMATIC CELL CULTURE APPARATUS, LIQUID CONTAINER, ROBOT HAND, AND ROBOT SYSTEM
A bottle includes a body, a cap mounted to a cap neck of the body. The cap has an outer peripheral portion which is provided with a protrusion. Around the cap, there is provided a position indicator indicating whether the cap is at a correctly closed position, based on the positional relationship between the protrusion and the position indicator.
Variable Diameter Bioreactors
A variable diameter bioreactor vessel is provided that includes a first vessel section having a first diameter configured to hold a liquid media and biologic material, and a second vessel section having a second diameter that is greater than the first diameter such that the liquid media can be increased from a first volume to a second volume within the vessel.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR HOLISTIC LOW CARBON INTENSITY FUEL PRODUCTION
The present disclosure generally relates to systems and methods utilizing regenerative agriculture for the procurement, production, refinement and/or transformation of low carbon intensity transportation fuels, including low carbon intensity biodiesel and/or renewable diesel, low carbon intensity biogasoline, low carbon intensity aviation, marine and kerosene fuels as well as fuel oil blends, low carbon intensity ethanol, and low carbon intensity hydrogen, that may be beneficially commercialized directly to consumers. In further aspects, the systems and methods of the present disclosure advantageously generate low carbon intensity comestibles, including sustainably-sourced meal and/or feed. The disclosed systems and methods may be utilized and optimized such that the resulting fuels and foodstuffs are characterized by a reduction in greenhouse gas production and a diminution in the fertilizer, pesticide and water required for producing the associated crop feedstocks.
