SARS-COV-2 RECOMBINANT RBD PROTEIN, AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR
Disclosed are a recombinant RBD protein of SARS-CoV-2, and a method for preparing the same. The recombinant RBD protein has a signal polypeptide sequence, an RBD protein sequence, a transmembrane domain sequence and a tag sequence in order from N-terminus to C-terminus. The recombinant RBD protein may be expressed on cell membranes, which facilitates protein stability, enrichment and detection.
CRYOPRESERVATION COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS INCLUDING GLYCEROL ESTER COMPONENTS
A cryopreservation process includes combining a cryopreservation composition with a biological sample. The cryopreservation composition includes at least one glycerol ester component. The cryopreservation process also includes then cooling the cryopreservation composition with the biological sample to a cryopreservation temperature. The cryopreservation composition aids in cryopreserving the biological sample at the cryopreservation temperature. A cryopreservation composition includes at least one glycerol ester component. A cryopreserved system includes a biological sample in a cryopreservation composition at a cryopreservation temperature. The cryopreservation composition includes at least one glycerol ester component.
Media for culturing stem cells
Well-defined, xeno-free culture media which comprise a TGF-beta isoform or the chimera formed between IL6 and the soluble IL6 receptor (IL6RIL6), which are capable of maintaining stem cells, and particularly, human embryonic stem cells, in an undifferentiated state are provided. Also provided are cell cultures comprising the culture media and the stem cells and methods of expanding and deriving embryonic stem cells in such well-defined, xeno-free culture media. In addition, the present invention provides methods of differentiating ESCs or EBs formed therefrom for the generation of lineage specific cells.
Enzyme-responsive shape memory polymers
An enzyme responsive shape memory polymer formed from a glassy, cross-linked shape memory polymer that incorporates ester bonds that are responsive to the present of an enzyme. PCL-based polyurethanes (featuring simple alternation of PCL diol and lysine-based diisocyanate) are degradable by Amano lipase PS. A non-degradable thermoplastic elastomer may be dual electrospun with a polycaprolactone based TPU with the fixing phase compressed so that the composite is ready for enzymatically triggered contraction. Alternatively, the elastomer may be a PCL copolymer-based polyurethane amorphous elastomer that is both degradable and elastomeric and put into compression so that upon enzymatic degradation of the elastomeric phase the scaffold expands.
Use of the treatment or improvement of sleep disorders by Lactobacillus brevis ProGA28 and/or its metabolites
The present invention relates to the use of a novel Lactobacillus brevis ProGA28 strain, deposited in the German Collection for Microorganisms and Cell Cultures (DSMZ) under the accession number DSM 33167 on May 28, 2019. The metabolites of Lactobacillus brevis ProGA28 have the ability to improve sleep quality, can effectively reduce the time of rapid eye movement in the sleep phase, can reduce time to fall asleep, can increase total sleep time, and can increase the ratio of low waves during sleep so that sleep disorders and related complications, such as anxiety and immune system diseases, are treated.
METHODS AND DEVICES FOR THE PRODUCTION AND DELIVERY OF BENEFICIAL FACTORS FROM STEM CELLS
Provided herein are methods and devices related to inducing a population of self-renewing or senescent stem cells, to produce one or more beneficial factors for the treatment of a disease or disorder in an individual. Also provided are compositions and methods for inducing senescence, useful for inducing senescence in a population of stem cells, in order to produce one or more beneficial factors for the treatment of a disease or disorder in an individual. Methods and devices to control and customize the production of the beneficial factors for the requirements of a disease or disorder being treated are described. Also provided are factor production units for the production of the beneficial factors, and devices for the delivery of the beneficial factors to an individual in need.
METHOD FOR INCREASING THE GALACTOSE CONTENT OF RECOMBINANT PROTEINS
The present invention relates to a method for increasing the galactose content of a recombinant protein produced in mammalian cells, wherein during the cultivation of said cells the pH of the cell culture is changed and a composition comprising nucleosides, transition metal salts and/or sugars is fed.
Cell Culture Media Tablets and Methods of Manufacture
Described herein are efficiently dissolving tablets of dry cell culture media, feeds, supplements, media subgroups, buffer concentrates, or media components useful in culturing cells or microorganisms, methods of manufacturing, and methods of use. In particular, formulations of tableted cell culture media feeds, supplements, media subgroups, or buffer concentrates are described.
Methods of preparing a primary cell sample
The invention provides methods of preparing a sample of viable diseased cells obtained from a human subject for clinical testing, wherein the methods inhibit anoikis and/or anoikis in the cells while maintaining the physiological functions and genomic composition of the cells when they were in vivo. In the methods of the invention, primary cells are cultured in media comprising at least one anoikis inhibitor, preferably at least one inhibitor of an intrinsic anoikis pathway and at least one inhibitor of an extrinsic anoikis pathway, under anti-anoikis atmospheric conditions, such as greater than 2% and less than 20% oxygen. Method combining multiple culturing conditions, including surface attachment under conditions that inhibit anoikis, are also provided. Compositions and kits for use in the methods of the invention are also provided.
Peptide conjugated hydrogel substrate for the maintenance and expansion of human pluripotent stem cells
Compositions useful for propagation of pluripotent stem cells are provided. The compositions comprise a polysaccharide hydrogel linked to a peptide fragment of the extracellular domain of epithelial cadherin. Methods of making the composition, and culturing pluripotent stem cells also are provided.
