Provided is a method for separating and extracting mesenchymal stem cells from the human umbilical cord. The method uses healthy neonatal umbilical cord tissue; after cleaning and disinfection, mechanically pulverising same, separating the Wharton's jelly, and after treating with erythrocyte lysate, carrying out suspension culture in a serum-free culture medium. Replacing the liquid every 3-5 days; after the plate adherence rate reaches 30-70%, carrying out trypsin digestion, and then collecting the cells by centrifugation for passage amplification, until the rate of confluence of the cells reaches 80-90% confluence, thereby obtaining high purity umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells.

By establishing effective methods for shrimp 3D cell culture and passage, the present invention provides a technology of continuous shrimp cell culture intended for the establishment of immortalized shrimp cell lines. The present invention provides a preparation method of matrigel for 3D cell culture of shrimp by optimizing an additive proportion of matrigel. The present invention further provides a technology of separation and 3D cell culture of shrimp haemolymph cells, where shrimp haemolymph cells adhere to and grow on the surface of the matrigel in the form of a single round cell and a cell pellet/cellular spheroid, with survival and growth abilities being superior to 2D culture effects. The above technology is achieved by optimizing a formula of complete medium for shrimp cells, selecting the medium as an anticoagulant and a diluent for shrimp haemolymph cells, selecting a 3D culture method for surface-adhered growth in the matrigel.

A METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF CARBOXYLIC ACIDS UNDER UNSTERILE CONDITIONS

The aim of the invention is to provide a method for biotechnological production of carboxylic acids, in which the acid-forming micro-organisms are cultured in an unsterile manner in a submerged phase containing waste water containing all carbon and nutrient medium components necessary for the production of the carboxylic acid, which method avoids the disadvantages of known methods and enables high product concentrations and productivity while at the same time the resources of water and power are being conserved. This aim is achieved, according to the invention, in that micro-organisms are used that are cultured under unsterile conditions in a culture medium containing waste water with the addition of carbon-rich compounds.

A CHLOROPLAST OR ACCUMULATED LIPID PARTICLE ENRICHED WITH AN OIL-BODY PROTEIN FUSION POLYPEPTIDE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME IN ALGAE
20200131553 · 2020-04-30 ·

The present invention relates to recombinant protein production in algal cells. In particular, the present invention provides methods for making recombinant polypeptides in association with accumulated lipid particles or chloroplasts. The methods involve producing the recombinant polypeptide as a fusion polypeptide with an oil body protein and the growth of the algal cells under non-homeostatic conditions to form accumulated lipid particles within the algal cells, wherein the algal lipid particles contain the fusion polypeptide.

Preparation of small colony variants of therapeutic bacteria

The invention relates to methods of differentiation, isolation, propagation, and storage of small colony variants (SCVs) of E. coli, preferably E. coli 83972 or E. coli HU2117, or modified or variant forms thereof, and methods for using the prepared SCV bacteria to establish probiotic biofilms in treated subjects and/or on treated medical devices.

Delivering a payload across a plasma membrane of a cell includes providing a population of cells and contacting the population of cells with a volume of an aqueous solution. The aqueous solution includes the payload and alcohol content greater than 5 percent concentration. The volume of the aqueous solution may be a function of exposed surface area of the population of cells, or may be a function of a number of cells in the population of cells. Related compositions, apparatus, systems, techniques, and articles are also described.
