REINFORCED TEXTILE STRAP
A flexible reinforced strap for use with baggage as a level of security against theft includes a plurality of warp threads, one or more flexible reinforcing members, and a weft thread. The flexible reinforced strap is of a multi-layered construction, including an intermediate layer situated between a top and a bottom layer. The plurality of warp threads and the one or more flexible reinforcing members are arranged within the plurality of layers, and a weft thread is interwoven to form the flexible reinforced strap.
Purse Securing Device
A purse securing device for securing a purse to an object is provided. The purse securing device comprises a chain having a first end and a second end, a first fastener mechanism secured to the first end of the chain, and a second fastener mechanism secured to the second end of the chain. A first lobster clasp fastener is secured to the first fastener mechanism and a second lobster clasp fastener secured to the second fastener mechanism. A decorative charm is secured to either the first fastener mechanism or the second fastener mechanism. Upon looping the first end of the chain about the purse strap and releasably securing the first lobster clasp fastener to the chain and upon looping the second end of the chain about the object and releasably securing the second lobster clasp fastener to the chain, the purse is secured to the object, thereby inhibiting theft of the purse.

IMPROVEMENTS IN AND RELATING TO AN ARTICLE OF LUGGAGE
An article of luggage (2) is disclosed comprising a first portion ((4), (104), (204), (304), (404)), a second portion ((6), (106), (206), (306), (406)), the first and second portions being hingedly connected for movement between a closed position and an open position, and a zip fastener ((50), (150), (250), (350), (450)) for releasably securing the first portion ((4), (104), (204), (304), (404)) of the article of luggage to the second portion ((6), (106), (206), (306), (406)) of the article of luggage in the closed position to define an internal storage volume between the first and second portions of the article of luggage, in which the article of luggage further comprises retention means ((60), (160), (260), (360), (460)) in use extending across the zip fastener ((50), (150), (250), (350), (450)) and in part permanently secured to one of the first and second portions. It is an advantage that this construction allows for the first and second portions of the article of luggage easily to be zipped together while providing additional means to keep the first and second portions of the article of luggage together in the event of failure of the zip mechanism.
