The hair styling device further comprises a strap comprising a first end, and a second end, wherein the first end of the strap is fixedly attached to the cylindrical body adjacent to the proximal cylindrical top end and the second end of the strap is configured to be helically wound around the cylindrical body and removably attached to the cylindrical body adjacent to the distal cylindrical bottom end. Methods are described that allow use of the hair styling devices to dry hair and style hair either curled or straight.

The user may use the sectioning tool to secure a predetermined section of hair whereby the stopper member may subsequently receive the collar and thus hang the attached elongated strip near the scalp of the user. The user may then twirl the predetermined section of hair using the entire curling strip. The sectioning tool is then removed, facilitating a comfortable sleep with at least one curling strip in place.

Such an implement utilizes two flexible fabric-covered rod structures that curve around a user's head, each from the forehead area to the back of the head, thereby providing two substantially symmetrical components around which hair portions may be wrapped and kept for a certain period of time. After a certain period of time, the user removes the implement and the previously wrapped hair exhibits desired curls that last another 24 hours, at least. Such an implement allows for curl generation without the need for heat applications and/or multiple hair rollers. The method of utilizing such a single implement to generate hair curls throughout the entirety of a user's hair is also encompassed within this invention.

The user inserts a desired amount of hair through the elongated section of fabric and rolls that section of fabric towards the user's head and ties the contained or inserted amount of hair contained in the elongated section of fabric of the hair curler. A detachable pocket dedicated to holding another physical hair curler can be added to add further tightness to a user's curls.
