A hairstyling apparatus has a cushioning sheath that defines an enclosed opening and a flexible frame positioned within the cushioning sheath. The frame extends along an inner perimeter of the cushioning sheath such that end portions of the frame are adjacent the ends of the cushioning sheath. First and second sides of the cushioning sheath are capable of being twisted with respect to each other such that first and side portions of the frame cause the enclosed opening to become smaller.

The invention relates to a device (1) for receiving at least one strand of hair (200) or other keratinous fibers (mane, hair), having at least one strand-receiving surface (100, 102, 104, 106, 108) configured to enable the formation of, from at least one strand of hair (200) or other keratinous fibers, at least two undulations (202-208) having winding axes that are not collinear with one another and/or of different diameters, the device (1) comprising a distal end (1a) and a proximal end (1b). The device (1) is made, at least in part, of hemp.

The invention also concerns a method for shaping and treating keratin fibers such as hair.

A flexible hair roller includes a flexible substrate extending longitudinally between opposing ends, having an inner planar side and an outer planar side opposite the inner planar side, a plurality of loops disposed across an entire length of the outer planar side and covering all of the outer planar side of the substrate, a plurality of hooks disposed across an entire width along one of end portions of the inner planar side of the substrate, and a tab connected to the end of the substrate where the plurality of hooks are disposed and extends laterally therefrom. The plurality of hooks from the inner planar side of the substrate are configured to engage and stick to a portion of the plurality of loops from the outer planar side of the substrate so as to transit the flexible hair roller between flattened and rolled positions.

Disclosed herein are devices and methods for styling hair. A hair styling device is described with a cylindrical body comprising a semi-compressible core, a smooth layer surrounding the semi-compressible core, a proximal cylindrical top end, and a distal cylindrical boom end, wherein the distal cylindrical bottom end is parallel to the proximal cylindrical top end configured on each end of the cylindrical body. The hair styling device further comprises a strap comprising a first end, and a second end, wherein the first end of the strap is fixedly attached to the cylindrical body adjacent to the proximal cylindrical top end and the second end of the strap is configured to be helically wound around the cylindrical body and removably attached to the cylindrical body adjacent to the distal cylindrical bottom end. Methods are described that allow use of the hair styling devices to dry hair and style hair either curled or straight.

A hair curling system embodying a novel device and method for overnight use is provided. The hair curling system includes a sectioning tool and a separate curling strip. The sectioning tool may include an elastic cord forming a loop shape, wherein a stopper member is disposed there along. The curling strip may include an elongated strip of material that terminates in a collar. The collar may define a collar opening adapted to receive the stopper member. The user may use the sectioning tool to secure a predetermined section of hair whereby the stopper member may subsequently receive the collar and thus hang the attached elongated strip near the scalp of the user. The user may then twirl the predetermined section of hair using the entire curling strip. The sectioning tool is then removed, facilitating a comfortable sleep with at least one curling strip in place.

A hair styling accessory includes an elongated hair board having a widened end and a narrowed end with elongated edges extending between the widened end and the narrowed end, a plurality of holes extend through the hair board from an upper surface to a lower surface. At least one end-clip having open and closed orientations and biased into the closed orientation. The at least one end-clip is designed to be positioned in the closed orientation over the narrowed end of the hair board and to grip a lock of hair against one of the upper and lower surfaces. At least one side-clip having open and closed orientations and biased into the closed orientation. The at least one side-clip is designed to be positioned in the closed orientation over one of the elongated edges of the hair board and to grip the lock of hair.

A portable and wearable hair styling device includes a headband configured to conform to a head of a user, a hair wrap attached to the headband, wherein the hair wrap includes a flexible inside layer, an air distribution network, and a flexible outside layer attached to the flexible inside layer creating an interior volume between the flexible inside layer and the flexible outside layer, wherein the flexible outside layer includes a hair dryer attachment and a clip configured to close a lower portion of the hair wrap around hair of the user.

A hair curling system embodying a novel device and method for overnight use is provided. The hair curling system includes a sectioning tool and a separate curling strip. A single implement device for the generation of hair curls without the need for heat is provided. Such an implement utilizes two flexible fabric-covered rod structures that curve around a user's head, each from the forehead area to the back of the head, thereby providing two substantially symmetrical components around which hair portions may be wrapped and kept for a certain period of time. After a certain period of time, the user removes the implement and the previously wrapped hair exhibits desired curls that last another 24 hours, at least. Such an implement allows for curl generation without the need for heat applications and/or multiple hair rollers. The method of utilizing such a single implement to generate hair curls throughout the entirety of a user's hair is also encompassed within this invention.

A hair curling system that comprises fabric based hair curling system that does not require damaging heat or for the user to wet the user's hair in order for the hair curling system to provide defined and stylish curls to a user's hair. The hair curling system includes a hair curler made up of a hair tie attached to a top open end of an elongated section of fabric that has a closed left side and a closed right side, and an open bottom end. The user inserts a desired amount of hair through the elongated section of fabric and rolls that section of fabric towards the user's head and ties the contained or inserted amount of hair contained in the elongated section of fabric of the hair curler. A detachable pocket dedicated to holding another physical hair curler can be added to add further tightness to a user's curls.
