PROCESS FOR IDENTIFYING A STRESS STATE AND/OR FOR ASSESSING THE STRESS RESPONSE LEVEL IN A SUBJECT
A process for identifying a stress state in a subject, for assessing the stress response level in a subject, for predicting the efficacy of an intervention solution in a subject, for monitoring the efficacy of an intervention solution in a subject and/or for identifying an intervention solution for a subject, having a step of detecting the expression and/or quantifying the expression level, in a sample of the subject, of at least four genes selected from a group made of twenty-six genes, as well as a kit having a way for amplifying and/or detecting the expression of the genes, and uses thereof.
PIS GENOTYPE DETECTION METHOD FOR GOATS
The present invention discloses a PIS genotype detection method for goats and belongs to field of life science. The method includes 4 pairs of specific primers: SRY F and SRY R; PIS wt F and PIS wt R; PIS var-1 F and PIS var-1 R; and PIS var-2 F and PIS var-2 R, and a probe. The present invention further provides a specific detection method and a detection standard. A simple and efficient detection method for diagnosing a PIS genotype of the goats is developed in combination with a high-sensitivity PCR method and a high-stability Southern Blot method, has extremely high specificity, is convenient and rapid, and may be used for accurately identifying genotypes of PIS genes, guiding breeding and mating of the goats and controlling or adjusting genotype frequencies of the PIS genes in goat populations according to requirements of breeders, to increase economic benefits of goat farming.
Identification of white leghorns red plumage mutagenic mutant genotype and cultivation method for supporting system of red plumage pink shell layer chickens
The present invention discloses a method for breeding the commercial strains of red feather pink-shell laying hens. It provides a primer pair for identifying the red feather causative mutation homozygous genotype of white leghorn chickens, which is composed of the single-stranded DNA molecule shown in Sequence 2 of the Sequence List and the single-stranded DNA molecule shown in Sequence 3 of the list. After the primer was designed according to the upstream and downstream nucleotide sequences of the 18,288,303.sup.rd deoxynucleotide in the positive-sense strand of the 11.sup.th chromosome as shown in the sequence information of the chicken reference genome Gallus_gallus-4.0 version published in NCBI, the genotype (SNP) at this site is tested through the restriction fragment length polymorphism, the genotype of the site (SNP) was tested through the restriction fragment length polymorphism; the offspring hens obtained by cross breeding the homogenous female parent (the homogenous female parent was obtained through expanded propagation of the white leghorn chickens with the red feather causative mutation homozygous genotype) and the Rhode Island Red rooster as a male parent are all of red feather phenotype, meeting the market demands and enjoying a broad prospect for promotion.
METHODS OF IDENTIFYING SNPS CORRELATING WITH ELITE ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE
The present disclosure, in part, relates to novel, methods of assessing an individual's genetic predisposition to elite athleticism. The present disclosure includes methods for identifying individuals with SNPs that are in linkage disequilibrium with SNP rs1052373 on the MYBPC3 gene. The present disclosure also includes next-generation doping tests.
DNA-METHYLATION-BASED QUALITY CONTROL OF THE ORIGIN OF ORGANISMS
The invention pertains to a method for the identification of the geographic origin of an individual test subject or of an individual group of test subjects, the method comprising the comparison of a test methylation profile obtained from genomic material of the individual test subject or of the individual group of test subjects with one or more predetermined reference methylation profiles each being specific for a distinct geographic origin.
NMR methods and systems for the rapid detection of tick-borne pathogens
The invention features methods, systems, and panels for rapid detection of tick-borne pathogens in a sample (including Borrelia spp. such as B. burgdorferi, B. afzelii, and B. garinii) and for diagnosis and monitoring of tick-transmitted diseases, including Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, Q-fever, babesiosis, ehrlichiosis, tularemia, and anaplasmosis.
METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR DEVELOPING TARGET SPECIFIC EXOSOME AND GROWTH FACTOR PRODUCTS
Disclosed are methods for making individualized mesenchymal stem cell growth factor and exosome compositions and methods of their use to treat skin disorders, hair loss, pain, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, autism, depression, biopolar disorder, anxiety, celiac disease, and cancer.
METHODS FOR IMPROVING THE HEALTH OF PORCINE SPECIES BY TARGETED INACTIVATION OF CD163
The present disclosure relates methods and compositions useful for prevention of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSv) in animals, including animals of the species Sus scrofa. The present teachings relate to swine wherein at least one allele of a CD163 gene has been inactivated, and to specific methods and nucleic acid sequences used in gene editing to inactivate the CD163 gene. Swine wherein both alleles of the CD163 gene are inactivated are resistant to porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSv). Elite lines comprising homozygous CD163 edited genes retain their superior properties
Method of Producing an Animal of a Particular Breed
This disclosure relates to an improved method of producing an animal of a particular breed. The method can comprise the step of determining genetic test results. The genetic test results can relate to one or more genetic characteristics of the animal. The method can also comprise the step of comparing the genetic test results to each other genetic test result of a plurality of other genetic test results to determine a probability that if the first animal is mated with an animal associated with the other genetic test result that resulting offspring would have characteristics each within a predetermined threshold. The method can also comprise the steps of determining the other animal to be a suitable match if the probability is above an acceptable probability threshold, and producing offspring with the animal and at least one of the other animals determined to be a suitable match.
