HERIPENES WITH PAIN-RELIEVING EFFECT, ACTIVE SUBSTANCES OF Hericium erinaceus MYCELIUM AND THE PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF, AND PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE HERIPENES OR ACTIVE SUBSTANCES

The present invention is related to an active substance of Hericium erinaceus having a pain-relieving effect, and a pharmaceutical composition including the active substance. The active substance is prepared using the following steps: (a) inoculating a mycelium of H. erinaceus on an agar plate and incubating at 15-32° C. for 8-16 days; (b) inoculating the incubated H. erinaceus mycelia from step (a) into a medium in a flask and incubating at 20-30° C. and pH 4.5-6.5 for 3-5 days; (c) inoculating the incubated H. erinaceus mycelia from step (b) into a medium in a fermentation tank and incubating at 24-32° C. and pH 4.5-5.5 for 8-16 days to obtain a fermented medium of the H. erinaceus mycelia; and (d) desiccating the fermented medium of the H. erinaceus mycelia from step (c) to obtain the powder of the H. erinaceus mycelia, which is further purified and isolated to obtain a novel compound of H. erinaceus.

MICROORGANISMS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF INSECT PHEROMONES AND RELATED COMPOUNDS

The present application relates to recombinant microorganisms useful in the biosynthesis of unsaturated C.sub.6-C.sub.24 fatty alcohols, aldehydes, and acetates which may be useful as insect pheromones, fragrances, flavors, and polymer intermediates. The C.sub.6-C.sub.24 fatty alcohols, aldehydes, and acetates described herein may be used as substrates for metathesis reactions to expand the repertoire of target compounds and pheromones. The application further relates to recombinant microorganisms co-expressing a pheromone pathway and a pathway for the production of a toxic protein, peptide, oligonucleotide, or small molecule suitable for use in an attract-and-kill pest control approach. Also provided are methods of producing unsaturated C.sub.6-C.sub.24 fatty alcohols, aldehydes, and acetates using the recombinant microorganisms, as well as compositions comprising the recombinant microorganisms and/or optionally one or more of the product alcohols, aldehydes, or acetates.

STRAIN PRODUCING ERGOTHIONEINE AND METHOD FOR SCREENING THE SAME

The present invention belongs to the field of microbial technology, and specifically relates to a strain of Hericium erinaceus HT-3, with a deposit number of CCTCC No: M 2018567. The present invention also relates to a screening method for Hericium erinaceus HT-3. The screening method comprises the steps of purifying the strain of Hericium erinaceus from a tissue block, fermenting and culturing the strain, soak extracting ergothioneine from the mycelium cells in the fermentation broth, detecting the ergothioine content in the fermentation broth. The Hericium erinaceus strain screened according to the present invention has high ergothioneine yield, and the screening method is simple in process, easy to be operated, and low in production cost.

20220056399 · 2022-02-24 ·

This invention provides an isolate of Chaetomium globosum, which is numbered as 12XP1-2-3, preserved by China General Microbiological Culture Collection Center with CGMCC No. 17183 on Jan. 23, 2019. This invention also provides an application of Chaetomium globosum in wheat growth promotion and yield increase. The results of field trials showed that by coating wheat seeds with Chaetomium globosum 12XP1-2-3, the chlorophyll content of leaves can be increased by 1.9%-14.7% at booting stage, and the wheat yield can be increased by 2.3%-10.9%.

MICROBIAL CONVERSION OF OILS AND FATS TO LIPID-DERIVED HIGH-VALUE PRODUCTS

A method of directly microbially converting a plant oil, an animal fat, free fatty acid, or a combination thereof to wax esters includes growing a yeast or bacterial strain in a medium comprising the plant oil, the animal fat, the free fatty acid, or combination thereof, under conditions suitable to produce the wax esters, wherein the yeast or bacterial strain is engineered to express a FAR gene encoding fatty acid alcohol reductase and a WS gene encoding a wax ester synthase, and optionally isolating the produced wax esters. Similar methods of directly microbially converting a plant oil, an animal fat, free fatty acid, or a combination thereof to omega-3 fatty acids by growing a microorganism in a medium comprising the plant oil, the animal fat, the free fatty acid, or combination thereof, under conditions suitable to produce omega-3 fatty acids are also described.
