Compositions containing amniotic components and methods for preparation and use thereof
Compositions are provided that contain biologically active components of amniotic fluid including growth factors and other proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, and metabolites. The compositions containing biologically active components of amniotic fluid can be useful for a range of therapeutic treatments including joint and soft tissue repair, regulation of skin condition, and for use in organ preservation, such as for use in organ transplant procedures. Advantages of the compositions include that they can be reproducibly produced, without the inherent variability of amniotic fluid from individual donors, and that they are free of fetal waste.

The composition in one form has on a weight percentage basis 2-4% α-pinene; 2-4% borneol; 8-10% geraniol; 28-35% linalool; 25-38% linalyl acetate; 1-4% methyl salicylate; 2-4% myrcene; 2-4% para-cymene; 4-8% phellandrene; 1-4% thymol; and 2-4% vanillin. The composition has insect repellent properties.

INSECT CONTROL STRATEGIES UTILITIZING PHEROMONES AND RNAI
Systems and methods of preventing or reducing crop damage from pests are provided. In one embodiment, the method comprises: a) applying a mating disruption tactic to a field plot; and b) disrupting expression of one or more target genes in one or more pests, wherein crop damage is reduced in the field plot. In another embodiment, the method comprises applying an attract-and-kill tactic to a field plot, wherein said attract-and-kill tactic comprises: a) applying one or more semiochemicals or factors; and b) disrupting expression of one or more target genes in one or more pests, wherein said disruption is capable of killing the one or more pests, wherein crop damage is reduced in the field plot.
CARNIVOROUS WASP CONTROL AGENT
An object is to provide a chemical agent that, when used on carnivorous wasps such as those belonging to the Vespidae family, instantly stops them from behaving normally, to prevent injuries caused by stings and bites. As a solution, a carnivorous wasp control agent is provided, which is characterized in that it contains, as an active ingredient, at least one type of compound selected from the group that consists of (a) cyclic monoterpene-based compounds, (b) chain monoterpene-based aldehyde compounds, (c) chain sesquiterpene-based compounds, (d) benzoic acid alkyl esters, (e) lactic acid alkyl esters, (f) octanols, and (g) phenylacetic acid esters.
CARNIVOROUS WASP CONTROL AGENT
An object is to provide a chemical agent that, when used on carnivorous wasps such as those belonging to the Vespidae family, instantly stops them from behaving normally, to prevent injuries caused by stings and bites. As a solution, a carnivorous wasp control agent is provided, which is characterized in that it contains, as an active ingredient, at least one type of compound selected from the group that consists of (a) cyclic monoterpene-based compounds, (b) chain monoterpene-based aldehyde compounds, (c) chain sesquiterpene-based compounds, (d) benzoic acid alkyl esters, (e) lactic acid alkyl esters, (f) octanols, and (g) phenylacetic acid esters.
Microbial oil, production method for microbial oil, concentrated microbial oil, and production method for concentrated microbial oil
A microbial oil comprising: a specific amount of at least one polyunsaturated fatty acid having at least 20 carbon atoms in fatty acid alkyl ester form and/or in free fatty acid form; and specific amount of thermally-produced fatty acid having from 16 to 22 carbon atoms in a fatty acid alkyl ester form and/or a free fatty acid form. A production method thereof comprising: providing a starting oil containing at least one polyunsaturated fatty acid having at least 20 carbon atoms in an alkyl ester form and/or a free fatty acid form obtained from microbial biomass; performing a rectification of the starting oil under specific conditions; and obtaining the aforementioned microbial oil. A concentrated microbial oil obtained using the production method described above, and a production method thereof. An agent for treating or preventing an inflammatory disease comprising the microbial oil or the concentrated microbial oil.
