A method of repairing oxidatively-treated hair, the methods comprising the sequential steps of: (i) soaking hair in an aqueous treatment composition, (ii) rinsing the hair of step (i); characterised in that the aqueous treatment composition comprises 0.1 to 6 wt % N-acetyl amino acid, based on the total weight of the composition, wherein the N-acetyl amino acid is selected from the group consisting of N-acetyl glycine, N-acetyl alanine, N-acetyl proline, N-acetyl leucine, N-acetyl isoleucine, N-acetyl valine, N-acetyl tyrosine, N-acetyl phenylalanine, N-acetyl tryptophan, N-acetyl serine, N-acetyl glutamine, N-acetyl threonine, N-acetyl asparagine, N-acetyl methionine, N-acetyl lysine, N-acetyl histidine and mixtures thereof, gives damage repair benefits.

The disclosure notably relates to a computer-implemented method for selecting a chemical compound applicable on a class of human hairs. The method comprises obtaining a database storing data relative to chemical compounds. For each compound the data comprises an identifier, an ingredient and a performance score. The method also comprises obtaining assessed hair properties and hair target properties. The method also comprises computing at least one goal score and a manageability goal score from the assessed hair properties and hair target properties. The method also comprises determining at least one identifier in the database satisfying the computed goal score and the computed manageability goal score. The satisfying comprises minimizing a distance function between the computed goal score and a corresponding goal score and maximizing a fit-to-manageability function between the computed manageability goal score and the corresponding manageability score. The method also comprises outputting the determined at least one identifier.

An applicator for spraying hair building solids is configured for one-handed operation and includes an applicator body which is connectable with a container including hair building solids. The applicator body includes a top part, a bottom part and a main part extending between the top part and the bottom part; an air pump electrically configured for creating an air flow; and a nozzle for spraying hair building solids out from the applicator. The bottom part includes an attachment structure for attaching the container to the applicator body, a first orifice in flow connection with the air pump for delivering air flow from the air pump via the bottom part and a second orifice in flow connection with the nozzle for delivering hair building solids via the bottom part to the nozzle.

A manifold dispensing cap is provided having a base that is adapted to be affixed to a bottle. The base seals to the bottle and can move fluid from inside the bottle to a manifold. The manifold has a series of fingers that are evenly spaced radially from the center where they extend outwardly. A method for applying and distributing hair fibers using a low rigidity, high density bristle-based applicator. After dispensing hair fibers onto the head and scalp, the applicator is guided over the surface of a thinning hair area in the direction of the hair growth. Specially designed bristles grab and position each hair and blend and distribute hair fibers evenly for a natural appearance. The applicator is further used to remove misplaced fibers and can be used to style hair after a holding mist has been applied.
