SUPPLY HEAT AMOUNT ESTIMATING METHOD, SUPPLY HEAT AMOUNT ESTIMATING DEVICE, AND BLAST FURNACE OPERATING METHOD
A supply heat amount estimating method for estimating an amount of heat supplied to pig iron in a blast furnace from an amount of heat supplied into the blast furnace and a rate of production of molten pig iron in the blast furnace, the supply heat amount estimating method includes: estimating a change in carried-out sensible heat by an in-furnace passing gas and a change in carried-in sensible heat supplied by a raw material preheated by the in-furnace passing gas and estimating the amount of heat supplied to the pig iron in the blast furnace in consideration of the estimated changes in the carried-out sensible heat and the carried-in sensible heat.
Monitoring system for annular scrubbers
A gas scrubber cone condition monitoring system has a sealed gas scrubber cone (9) moveably mounted in a gas pipe (1), a collar (5) fixedly mounted radially outward of the cone in the gas pipe and a pressure tap (12) into the sealed cone. The pressure tap is coupled to a condition monitor (17, 18) via an input line (16). An output line (14) from the condition monitor is coupled to a gas pipe (15), downstream of the sealed cone. The condition monitor includes at least one of a pressure gauge and a gas flow meter.
Method to operate a smelt cyclone
A method of operating a smelt cyclone, wherein the supply of feed material and/or the supply of oxygen containing gas through an array of tuyeres into the smelt cyclone is controlled in order to control accretions of metalliferous feed material at the inside of the smelt cyclone.

A hot metal temperature prediction method includes a reaction amount calculation step (S1) of calculating a reaction amount inside a blast furnace using a physical model that takes into account reactions and heat transfer phenomena inside the blast furnace, a deviation calculation step (S2) of calculating a deviation between the reaction amount calculated using the physical model and a measured reaction amount, a model parameter adjustment step (S3) of adjusting a parameter of the physical model that causes drift in a gas inside the blast furnace, so that the calculated deviation is reduced, and a hot metal temperature prediction step (S4) of predicting a future hot metal temperature using the physical model for which the parameter was adjusted.
Seal gas optimization systems and methods for a direct reduction process
A method and system for operating a seal gas compressor utilized in a direct reduction process including: monitoring a pH level of a water stream used in the seal gas compressor, wherein the pH level of the water stream is affected by a reformer flue gas stream that comes into contact with the water stream, wherein the monitoring step is carried out one or more of upstream of the seal gas compressor and downstream of the compressor; and adjusting the pH level of the water stream to maintain the pH level of the water stream within a predetermined range based on feedback from the monitoring step. The method includes maintaining the pH level of the water stream upstream of the seal gas compressor in a range between 7.5 and 10 and maintaining the pH level of the water stream downstream of the seal gas compressor in a range between 7.8 and 9.5.
Method for Predicting Carbon Consumption and Carbon Emission of Hydrogen-Rich Blast Furnace (BF) Based on C-rd Theory
The present disclosure provides a method for predicting carbon consumption and carbon emission of a hydrogen-rich blast furnace (BF) based on a C-r.sub.d theory. The method includes: inputting raw material and fuel conditions, product parameters, injection parameters and a heat loss verification coefficient, determining a reduction degree of hydrogen, and establishing a carbon consumption calculation model; determining a direct reduction degree, predicted values of various carbon consumption items and a predicted fuel ratio according to a carbon balance relation; calculating, if an absolute value of a difference between the predicted fuel ratio and an initial fuel ratio is less than a preset value and the various indicators satisfy constraints on the material and heat balance, and outputting the parameter condition and the corresponding calculation results of the various indicators, or otherwise adjusting the initial fuel ratio, heat loss verification coefficient, the raw material and fuel conditions, and the injection parameters.
