COMB SENSOR FOR MEASURING COMBING RESISTANCE
Disclosed herein is a comb sensor for measuring combing resistance, wherein the comb sensor comprises: a comb or brush comprising a handle, a head connected to the handle, and teeth connected to the head; and a bend sensor located on at least one of the teeth, to measure the bending of the one of the teeth. The present invention provides improved sensitivity and/or detailed measurement result.

Heated hair brush apparatus
A heated hair brush apparatus. A base plate is disposed at a head portion of a housing and has an upper face and a lower face. A plurality of heating elements each extends from the upper face of the base plate to a terminal end. A heat source is disposed in the compartment for transmitting heat through the heating elements. The heating elements and the base plate define a plurality of bores. A plurality of spacers of a material that has a lower thermal conductivity than the heating elements are each received by one of the bores of the base plate. Each of the spacers taper inwardly along at least a portion of the spacer toward the distal end for wedging the spacer in the bore of the heating element to inhibit movement of the spacer relative to the heating element.
BEARD GROOMING DEVICE
This specification describes a beard grooming device that provides a comb that may be protected with a cover, or a liquid sprayer in a handle attached to the comb, or both. The device allows a user to comb the beard and/or apply an active agent to the beard or other hair.
Hair gathering accessory with heat shield
A hair gathering accessory can be formed as a comb or a brush device, and has a handle formed with a body. On one side of the body are a plurality of tines (e.g. comb teeth, brush bristles, etc.). On the other side of the body is a heat shield that is attached to the body and which extends away from the body some distance. The tines are used to gather a portion of hair while the hair gathering accessory is being held by a person, and the heat shield protects the person whose hair has been gathered from the heat of a hair iron that is applied to the gathered portion of hair.

Self Cleaning Brush with Hair Collection
A grooming device with a self-cleaning and hair collecting features which allow the grooming apparatus to eject any hairs collected in the bristles or tines of the apparatus and collect the ejected hairs until it is convenient to dispose of the hair without having to touch the hair. The grooming device has a grooming section, a handle, a hair ejection device, and a hair collection device. The user will use the grooming device until it is full of hair, and then actuate the ejection device and collection device, which will trap the hairs until the uses releases the hair over a disposal container.
GROOMING INSTRUMENT CONFIGURED TO MONITOR HAIR LOSS/GROWTH
A method, system, and device for measuring and evaluating hair loss over time is disclosed. A instrumented comb device includes a power source, a controller, and associated sensors. The controller receives signals from the sensors, including a contact sensor to detect contact with a scalp and obtain a hair count, and a magnetic compass to determine location on the scalp. The controller includes one or more processors that acquire and record the detected contact information and determined location information as the comb device is stroked over a scalp, and measure hair density based on the contact information and location information. The instrumented comb can communicate with a remote information system or a mobile device for auxiliary processing and display. Machine learning of the remote information system allows for recognizing hair density or prediction of future trends in hair density over time using data recorded by the sensors.
GROOMING INSTRUMENT CONFIGURED TO MONITOR HAIR LOSS/GROWTH WITH VARIED BRISTLE SPACING
An instrumented comb, including bristles protruding from the handle, the bristles spaced apart from each other such that a first set of two or more bristles are spaced by a first distance, a second set of two or more bristles are spaced by a second distance, and a third set of two or more bristles are spaced by a third distance, wherein the third distance is greater than the second distance and the second distance is greater than the first distance. The comb includes a controller receiving signals from: a contact sensor to detect contact with a scalp, and a magnetic compass to determine location on the scalp. The comb uses the signals to record the detected contact information and determined location information as the comb undergoes a brushing gesture over a scalp, measure hair density based on the contact information and location information, and output the measured hair density.
HAIR COMB SET STRUCTURE
A hair comb set structure includes a comb body and a comb cover. The comb body has a first side surface, a second side surface and one end formed with a handle. Furthermore, the comb body is formed with multiple guide holes between the first side surface and the second side surface, and the comb cover is assembled with the comb body. At least one baffle and at least one projection are formed on an inner wall of the comb cover. The baffle is joined to the first side surface, and the projection is joined to the second side surface. Thus, the comb body of the hair comb set structure can guide hot air steams through the guide holes, and the comb cover can directly cover the comb body, so that the rapid drying and convenient covering and protecting effects can be achieved.
