A handheld device for combing and dispensing a non-liquid cosmetic on human hair, the device comprising a main body with a container portion for housing a dispersible dry cosmetic content, an attached handle portion, an internal shaking means, and brushing zone on the bottom of said container portion, wherein the brushing zone comprises a plurality of protruding teeth configured to produce a triboelectric effect to help the dry cosmetic adhere to a user's hair.

A hair cutting device adapted for cutting one's own hair comprises a comb piece having teeth with smooth comb edges near open ends and sharp cutting edges near closed ends, a moving cutting arm with sharp cutting teeth in contact and rough alignment with the sharp cutting edges of the comb piece, capable of reciprocating sideways back and forth and cutting hair in conjunction with the sharp cutting edges of the comb piece, and a hair guard in close proximity along their lengths. The hair guard can be lowered to expose the sharp cutting edges of the comb piece and moving cutting arm to cut hair or raised above the sharp cutting edges to work as a comb.

Apparatus may comprise a source of pressure, such as a pump or piston, to generate hair product flow through an applicator, and may be configured to receive product in user fillable or prepackaged product cartridges usable in the apparatus, a product chamber within the apparatus or a removable product reservoir useable in the apparatus. An apparatus may further be configured to support a plurality of manipulators, active applicators and passive applicators.

The invention relates to a comb (100) for being attached to a hair-cutting device (115). The comb comprises two surfaces (103, 104) configured to be in contact with the skin of the user. Each surface comprises a slot (105, 106) for attaching the comb to the hair-cutting device, and both surfaces have a common edge (107). When the hair-cutting device is attached to the slot of the first surface, the second surface is in contact with the skin, and when the hair-cutting device is attached to the slot of the second surface, the first surface is in contact with the skin. An asymmetric arrangement of the two slots allows for two cutting lengths of hair with one double-sided comb.

The invention relates to a comb (100) for being attached to a hair-cutting device (115). The comb comprises two surfaces (103, 104) configured to be in contact with the skin of the user. Each surface comprises a slot (105, 106) for attaching the comb to the hair-cutting device, and both surfaces have a common edge (107). When the hair-cutting device is attached to the slot of the first surface, the second surface is in contact with the skin, and when the hair-cutting device is attached to the slot of the second surface, the first surface is in contact with the skin. An asymmetric arrangement of the two slots allows for two cutting lengths of hair with one double-sided comb.

A hair dryer system includes a hands-free dryer having a base, an air flow generator that causes an air flow, and a heating element in contact with the air flow. The hands-free dryer includes a nozzle through which the air flow exits the hair dryer, and an actuator that is physically coupled to the base and to the nozzle, and that moves the nozzle in at least one degree of freedom relative to the base. The hands-free dryer includes an actuator driver circuit that drives the actuator according to a user-selected one of a plurality of stored alternative user-selectable oscillation modes. The hair dryer system also includes a user interface, optionally pertaining to a hair-styling tool, that is in communication with the actuator driver circuit. The communication identifies to the actuator driver circuit the user-selected one of the plurality of stored alternative user-selectable oscillation modes.

A hair dryer system includes a hands-free dryer having a base, an air flow generator that causes an air flow, and a heating element in contact with the air flow. The hands-free dryer includes a nozzle through which the air flow exits the hair dryer, and an actuator that is physically coupled to the base and to the nozzle, and that moves the nozzle in at least one degree of freedom relative to the base. The hands-free dryer includes an actuator driver circuit that drives the actuator according to a user-selected one of a plurality of stored alternative user-selectable oscillation modes. The hair dryer system also includes a user interface, optionally pertaining to a hair-styling tool, that is in communication with the actuator driver circuit. The communication identifies to the actuator driver circuit the user-selected one of the plurality of stored alternative user-selectable oscillation modes.

A hair cutter has a base comb with a plurality of base teeth and a supporting comb spaced from said base comb having a plurality of elongated supporting teeth extending to a lesser extent than the base teeth. A cutter blade, which may be adjustable, is secured on the supporting comb side of the base comb in spaced relationship with respect to the base comb with a cutting edge extending in the first direction to a greater extent than the supporting teeth, but to a lesser extent than the base teeth. The hair cutter is structured to have the base teeth and support teeth engaging a portion of the body with progressive movement of the hair cutter serving to effect cutting of the hair to the desired length. The cutter blade may be caused to vibrate by a suitable vibrating motor energized by a battery.
