Gypsum scale inhibitors for ore slurry systems in hydro-metallurgical applications
The current technology relates to mining processes and compositions which inhibit the growth of complex scale. More specifically it relates to a process for preventing/inhibiting and/or controlling gypsum scale in aqueous mineral ore slurries, and for inhibiting scale in relatively high solids content environments in industrial mining operations.

SORPTION APPARATUS
The sorption unit/apparatus contains a body, an airlift, a circulator, a disperser, slurry or solution and sorbent supply and discharge pipes, a catchment located below the slurry level. At that, the catchment is made in the form of an immersed draining device with a tapered bottom and a drain pipe ensuring evacuation by gravity of slurry or solution from the sorption unit, the disperser is made in the form of a perforated pipe, on the outer surface of which elastic elements are located inside the circulator and it is connected to a pipe for the supply of compressed air. The proposed design of the sorption unit allows for carrying out continuous sorption from solutions and slurries thereby increasing the reliability of the sorption unit, simplifying its maintenance, reducing operating costs by reducing the loss of expensive sorbent.

SEALED COBALT LEACHING DEVICE, REAGENT FOR COBALT LEACHING, METHOD USING DEVICE, USE OF METHOD
Disclosed are a sealed cobalt leaching device, a reagent for the cobalt leaching, a method using the device, and use of the method. The sealed cobalt leaching device includes a base, where a top of the base is provided with a first groove; a chemical solution holding tool is provided above the base; a bottom of the chemical solution holding tool is removably connected to the base; a holding through-hole penetrating up and down is formed inside the chemical solution holding tool; and a sealing cover is provided above the chemical solution holding tool. Beneficial effects of the present disclosure: Through the combination of the base, the chemical solution holding tool, and the sealing cover, the holding through-hole inside the chemical solution holding tool is sealed, thereby improving the cobalt leaching temperature and the cobalt leaching efficiency.
Continuous Methods for Treating Liquids and Manufacturing Certain Constituents (e.g., Nanoparticles) in Liquids, Apparatuses and Nanoparticles and Nanoparticle/Liquid Solution(s) Resulting Therefrom
This invention relates generally to novel methods and novel devices for the continuous manufacture of nanoparticles, microparticles and nanoparticle/liquid solution(s). The nanoparticles (and/or micron-sized particles) comprise a variety of possible compositions, sizes and shapes. The particles (e.g., nanoparticles) are caused to be present (e.g., created) in a liquid (e.g., water) by, for example, preferably utilizing at least one adjustable plasma (e.g., created by at least one AC and/or DC power source), which plasma communicates with at least a portion of a surface of the liquid. At least one subsequent and/or substantially simultaneous adjustable electrochemical processing technique is also preferred. Multiple adjustable plasmas and/or adjustable electrochemical processing techniques are preferred. The continuous process causes at least one liquid to flow into, through and out of at least one trough member, such liquid being processed, conditioned and/or effected in said trough member(s). Results include constituents formed in the liquid including micron-sized particles and/or nanoparticles (e.g., metallic-based nanoparticles) of novel size, shape, composition and properties present in a liquid.
