Epilator with exposed tweezer portion
An epilating device removes hair from a user by pinching, pulling and releasing the hairs. The epilating device has a tweezer portion having an axis and being mounted to rotate about its axis during use, the tweezer portion defining at least one pinching region at its circumference in which hairs may be grasped by tweezer elements. The tweezer portion is mounted in cantilevered fashion by its first end to an attachment portion of a handle. The cantilever arrangement of the tweezer portion allows better access to the tweezer elements, in particular for epilating in areas that may otherwise be difficult to reach.
SKIN TREATMENT APPARATUS
A skin treatment apparatus, preferably an epilator, comprising at least one detector for detecting approximation and/or contact with the skin and a control unit to actuate the device depending on the signal received from the detector. The control unit has at least one regulator which increases the speed of the drive unit upon detection of an increased resistance and/or current consumption by a sensor and/or decreases the speed of the drive unit upon detection of an decreased resistance and/or current consumption by a sensor.
Epilator
An epilator having a body and a plucking cylinder which is rotatable about a rotation axis for plucking hair. The plucking cylinder is movable with respect to the body between an extended position and a retracted position. Further, the epilator has elastically deformable elements biasing the plucking cylinder and at least two rollers mounted on the same side of the body as the plucking cylinder with the plucking cylinder interposed between the rollers. When pressing the rollers and the plucking cylinder to a flat surface the force exerted by the rollers exceeds the force exerted by the plucking cylinder.
EPILATOR WITH SEPARABLE PAIR OF HEADS
The present invention relates to an epilator comprising a pair of corresponding and separable epilator heads (2,3; 21,21 A) for trapping hair for removal. Each head (2,3; 21,21 A) has an exposed portion for allowing at least one or more parts of each head (2,3) to get in touch with a user's skin. Each head (2,3; 21,21 A) has a rotating body (17) having an axis of rotation and being adapted to be rotated by a driving unit (I), wherein the rotating body (17) is adapted to trap the hair for removal at the exposed portion, and wherein the axis of the rotating body (17) is essentially concave relative to the exposed portion of each head (2,3).
Epilating device having open configuration
An epilating device (1) has a housing (2) defining a handle (4) and first and second shoulder portions (6, 8) forming an open jaw (10). A tweezer portion (12) is mounted in the jaw (10) for rotation about its axis such that an opening (20) is formed through the device (1) from a front side (22) of the housing (2) to a rear side (24) of the housing (2), the opening (20) being bounded by the handle (4), the shoulder portions (6,8) and the tweezer portion (12). A drive mechanism (36) located within the housing (2) is arranged to apply rotational motion to rotate the tweezer portion (12) about the axis. By providing an opening (20) through the housing (2) of the epilator (1) from the front (22) to the rear side (24), collection of hair and debris beneath the tweezer portion (12) is avoided.
Tweezer head for epilation
The invention relates to an epilation head for an epilation device, in particular for plucking hair from human skin having a rotating cylinder and rotating around a rotational axis, the rotating cylinder having a number of plucking units for grasping and plucking out hair and having a skin oriented surface, wherein each plucking unit includes a movable clamping unit, a stationary clamping unit. The movable clamping unit and the stationary clamping unit form a closable plucking gap. The movable clamping units have a skin contacting surface and the total area of the skin contacting surfaces of the movable clamping units is greater than 5% of the area of the skin oriented surface.
Improving hair-clamping performance of a pair of hair-clamping elements
A head unit of a depilation appliance comprises at least one pair (11) of hair-clamping elements (12, 13), wherein the hair-clamping elements (12, 13) have tweezer surfaces (14, 15) which are arranged to face each other, and which are movable towards and away from each other in their entirety so as to be movable into and out of contact to each other. In order to achieve improved hair-clamping performance of the at least one pair (11) of hair-clamping elements (12, 13), the tweezer surfaces (14, 15) are further configured to move into alignment with each other in the process of getting into contact to each other, wherein the entirety of the tweezer surface (14) of one (12) of the hair-clamping elements (12, 13) is tillable relative to a support (17) that is included in the respective hair-clamping element (12).
Epilating device
An epilating device for extracting hairs out of a user's skin, including an epilating system having a plurality of hair-clamping elements arranged adjacent to each other and rotatable relative to a housing about an axis of rotation, a compression member arranged to exert a compression force on the epilating system along at least a compression line which extends parallel to a main direction of extension of the axis of rotation, and a drive system arranged to rotate the hair-clamping elements about the axis of rotation. The hair-clamping elements are arranged to cooperate in pairs. During rotation of the epilating system, the paired hair-clamping elements are tiltable relative to each other, under influence of said compression force about at least one tilting axis from a hair-catching position and about only one tilting axis from a first hair-clamping position.
Method for removing hair from an area of skin
The present invention refers to a method for removing hair from an area of skin by applying a shaving aid composition to the area of skin to be shaved. The shaving aid composition includes water, at least one oil and at least one shear thinning structurant. The area of skin is shaved using a hair removal device comprising a treatment sheet with aperture blades.
