Solder production process
A process for the production of a crude solder composition includes the provision of a first solder refining slag that includes tin and/or lead. The process further includes the steps of partially reducing the first solder refining slag, thereby forming a crude solder metal composition and a second solder refining slag, followed by separating the second solder refining slag from the crude solder metal composition, and partially reducing the second solder refining slag, thereby forming a second lead-tin based metal composition and a second spent slag followed by separating the second spent slag from the second lead-tin based metal composition A copper containing fresh feed is added to step (ii), preferably before reducing the second solder refining slag.

Method and apparatus for retrieving valuable metals step by step from waste printed circuit board particles
A method and apparatus for step-by-step retrieving valuable metals from waste printed circuit board particles. Many kinds of metals, most existing in form of elementary substance or alloy, are contained in the waste printed circuit boards. Molten metals are separated selectively by supergravity separation at different temperatures to achieve the step-by-step recovery. Tin-based alloys, lead-based alloy, zinc aluminum alloy, crude copper and precious-metal-enriched residues with different metal contents are separated out and collected on the condition of different temperatures (T=200300 C., 330430 C., 700900 C., 11001300 C.) and controlling the gravity coefficient (G=501000) and separation time (t=220 min) etc. Different metals or alloys can be separated quickly and efficiently and the residue concentration of precious metals can be obtained. The process is simple and low cost to provide an efficient way to recovery the enrichment of valuable metals from electronic wastes.

RECYCLING OF SMART WINDOWS
The present invention relates to the methods of recycling electrochromic devices and also designing such devices while keeping recyclability in perspective. Recyclability includes recovering of certain materials for re-use within the same application or other applications. Using recycling reduces or eliminates waste stream quantities to be disposed of and/or reduces toxicity of these waste streams.
Device and method for recovering tin-lead solder from scrap
The invention relates to recovery of tin-lead solder from electronic printed circuit board scrap. The scrap is placed in a liquid-permeable and/or gas-permeable container, which is placed in a liquid or gaseous heat-transfer medium heated to or above the melting temperature of the tin-lead solder. After the tin-lead solder is melted, the heat-transfer medium is removed from the container, then, by means of rotation of the container, the melted tin-lead solder and the remains of the heat-transfer medium are removed from the container. The device comprises a hollow container, which is mounted so as to be capable of rotation and is designed in the form of a body of revolution, and is liquid-permeable and/or gas-permeable in a radial direction from the axis of rotation. The container can be designed in the form of a drum, which can be vertically displaced and has perforated side walls.

METHOD FOR HIGH-PURITY TIN RECOVERY AND HYDROGEN PRODUCTION USING METHANE REDUCTION
The present invention relates to a method of using a methane gas to recover tin with high purity and to produce hydrogen at once, and the method uses the methane reduction technique that combines the two different processes of tin recovery and hydrogen production, thereby recovering tin with high purity from a methane gas and a tin oxide according to the methane reduction technique stably without emission of environmental pollutants, such as carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide, etc., and also producing hydrogen available as a new energy resource. Further, the present invention enables the recycling of waste materials containing tin oxides generated in all kinds of industries to prevent environmental contaminations and to offer solutions to the stable recovery of expensive tin with high purity and the dramatic reduction of hydrogen production costs at once, increasing economical efficiency and thus contributing to the efficient use of resources.
