A terpolymerized corrosion and scale inhibitor used in circulating cooling water of central air conditioning, containing tourmaline, polyaspartic acid, polyepoxysuccinic acid, polymaleic acid, etidronic acid, zinc salt, and the like, wherein the content of the tourmaline is 5-500 g/t (calculated based on solid form); the content of polyaspartic acid, polyepoxysuccinic acid, polymaleic acid and etidronic acid is 2-60 g/t (calculated based on liquid form); and the content of the zinc salt is 0.2-0.8 g/t (calculated based on solid form), is provided. Also disclosed is a method of preparing the terpolymerized corrosion and scale inhibitor used in circulating cooling water of central air conditioning.
Synthetic acid and associated methods
Glycine is an organic compound that can be used in the making of a synthetic acid that obviates all the drawbacks of strong acids such as hydrochloric acid. The new compound is made by dissolving glycine in water, in a weight ratio of approximately 1:1 to 1:1.5. The solution is mixed until the glycine is essentially fully dissolved in the water. Once dissolution is complete, hydrogen chloride gas is dissolved in the solution to produce the new compound, which can be referred to as hydrogen glycine. Also disclosed is a method for adjusting the pH of a fluid, the method comprising adding an effective amount of a solution to the fluid for adjusting the pH thereof to a desired level, wherein the solution is prepared by mixing glycine in water to form a glycine solution; and adding hydrogen chloride to the glycine solution.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REMOVAL OF IMPURITIES RESULTING FROM THE USE OF SODA ASH IN COAL FIRED POWER PLANTS
When using soda ash reagent in an SBS injection system, various impurities from various possible sources can form suspended solid particles and also form scale that may foul the filtration screens, piping, reagent storage tanks, and instrumentation in the injection system. A system and method are disclosed in which a chelating agent cleaning process removes existing scale, or alternatively, prevents the particles and scale from forming. Various embodiments operate in batch or continuous modes or a combination of both.
Amine-Functionalized Organosilane/Fatty Acid Combination Systems As Stain/Corrosion Inhibitors For The Application On Aluminum And Its Alloys
According to the present invention, the composition for treating aluminum containing surfaces comprises the reaction product of at least one amine-functionalized organosilane and/or oligomer and/or polymer thereof and at least one fatty acid, wherein the molar ratio of the amino group/s of the at least one amine-functionalized organosilane and/or oligomer and/or polymer thereof and of the at least one fatty acid is 1.2:1 to 1:2, and wherein the at least one amine-functionalized organosilane and/or oligomer and/or polymer thereof is linked to the at least one fatty acid by at least one carboxylic acid/amine salt bond and/or at least one amide bond.
Surfactant Based Small Molecules for Reducing Aluminosilicate Scale in the Bayer Process
The invention provides methods and compositions for inhibiting the accumulation of DSP scale in the liquor circuit of Bayer process equipment. The method includes adding one or more GPS-surfactant based small molecules to the liquor fluid circuit. These scale inhibitors reduce DSP scale formation and thereby increase fluid throughput, increase the amount of time Bayer process equipment can be operational and reduce the need for expensive and dangerous acid washes of Bayer process equipment. As a result, the invention provides a significant reduction in the total cost of operating a Bayer process.

METHOD FOR REMOVING SCALE AND SCALE REMOVER IN STEAM GENERATING FACILITY
Provided are a method for removing scale and a scale remover that can efficiently remove scale deposited inside a boiler can or the like in an addition amount of chemicals permissible in terms of cost without corroding a boiler, particularly can efficiently remove scale deposited inside a boiler can even in a facility operated with feed water containing high-concentration iron. A method for removing scale deposited in a system of a steam generating facility, wherein polyacrylic acid having a weight-average molecular weight of more than 20,000 and 170,000 or less and/or a salt thereof is added to feed water of the steam generating facility. When the feed water contains iron, polymethacrylic acid having a weight-average molecular weight of more than 1,000 and 100,000 or less and/or a salt thereof is further added in combination.
FLUORO-INORGANICS FOR ACIDIFICATION OR NEUTRALIZATION OF WATER SYSTEMS
The present invention generally relates to methods for reducing the pH of aqueous mixtures with the advantage of preventing formation of deposits and scales on internal surfaces in contact with the aqueous systems. These methods also that the advantages that they reduce pH with less corrosion or metal loss of the internal surface as compared with a conventional strong acid used to reduce the pH in such systems. The methods use an acid composition comprising a salt of a nitrogen base having a fluoro inorganic anion.
