Coaxial cable utilizing plated carbon nanotube elements and method of manufacturing same
A cable includes at least one inner conductor and an insulation layer surrounding the inner conductor. An outer conductive layer surrounds the insulation layer and center conductor and includes a carbon nanotube substrate having opposing face surfaces and edges. One or more metals are applied as layer(s) to the opposing face surfaces and edges of the carbon nanotube substrate for forming a metallized carbon nanotube substrate. The metallized carbon nanotube substrate is wrapped to surround the insulation layer and center conductor for forming the outer conductive layer. Embodiments of the invention include a braid layer positioned over the outer conductive layer. The braid layer is woven from of plurality of carbon nanotube yarn elements made of a plurality of carbon nanotube filaments. The carbon nanotube filaments include a carbon nanotube core and metal applied as a layer on the carbon nanotube core for forming a metallized carbon nanotube filaments and yarns woven to form the braid layer.
Photodefined aperture plate and method for producing the same
In one embodiment, a method for manufacturing an aperture plate includes depositing a releasable seed layer above a substrate, applying a first patterned photolithography mask above the releasable seed layer, the first patterned photolithography mask having a negative pattern to a desired aperture pattern, electroplating a first material above the exposed portions of the releasable seed layer and defined by the first mask, applying a second photolithography mask above the first material, the second photolithography mask having a negative pattern to a first cavity, electroplating a second material above the exposed portions of the first material and defined by the second mask, removing both masks, and etching the releasable seed layer to release the first material and the second material. The first and second material form an aperture plate for use in aerosolizing a liquid. Other aperture plates and methods of producing aperture plates are described according to other embodiments.

ELECTROCATALYSTS SYNTHESIZED UNDER CO2 ELECTROREDUCTION AND RELATED METHODS AND USES
The invention provides an electrocatalyst and a method of preparing a metal catalyst material comprising in-situ electrodeposition of the catalytic metal in the presence of CO.sub.2 and/or CO under electroreduction conditions, wherein the catalytic metal comprising copper (Cu) or silver (Ag) is electrodeposited onto a substrate comprising a gas diffusion layer and wherein the gas diffusion layer includes a metal seed layer disposed thereon, so that the catalytic metal is electrodeposited as an active catalyst layer onto the metal seed layer.
CARBON-NANOTUBES COPPER COMPOSITE CONDUCTORS
Provided herein are composite conductors, characterized by having copper deposits inside the bulk rather than on the outer surface of a non-metallic conductive porous matrix, such as CNT fabric, as well as a process for obtaining the same. The composite conductors provided herein are also characterized by a low specific weight and a high ampacity compared to metal conductors of similar size and shape.

Polyamide compositions and plating applications thereof
The present disclosure relates to polyamide compositions and resulting injection-molded articles that can be plated, e.g., metal coated, to form structurally aesthetic injection-molded articles. The polyamide compositions may include from 40 wt. % to 80 wt. % of a polyamide, from 0.5 wt. % to 40 wt. % of an etchable filler, from 5 wt. % to 30 wt. % of glass fiber, optionally less than 40 wt. % of a semi-structural mineral, and optionally from 0.1 wt. % to 13 wt. % of additive. The polyamide composition imparts very good surface appearance and excellent mechanical properties to injection-molded articles that are substantially free of visual defects.
Non-enzyme sensor, non-enzyme sensor element and fabricating method thereof
A fabricating method of a non-enzyme sensor element includes a printing step, a coating step and an electroplating step. In the printing step, a conductive material is printed on a surface of a substrate to form a working electrode, a reference electrode and an auxiliary electrode, and a porous carbon material is printed on the working electrode to form a porous carbon layer. In the coating step, a graphene film material is coated on the porous carbon layer of the working electrode to form a graphene layer. In the electroplating step, a metal is electroplated on the graphene layer by a pulse constant current to form a catalyst layer including a metal oxide.
