There is provided a threaded connection for pipe the tightening torque of which is easy to adjust. A threaded connection for pipe according to the present embodiment includes a pin and a box. The pin and the box have contact surfaces that include a thread part, a metal seal part, and a shoulder part, respectively. The threaded connection for pipe includes a ZnNi alloy plating layer on the contact surface of one of the pin and the box, and includes a CuSnZn alloy plating layer on the contact surface of the other one. The threaded connection for pipe further includes a lubricating coating in a liquid state or a semisolid state on at least one of the ZnNi alloy plating layer and the CuSnZn alloy plating layer.

An expansion dowel is provided, which includes at least one dowel body and a bolt, the bolt including an expansion body, which forces the dowel body radially to the outside when the expansion body is displaced in an extraction direction relative to the dowel body, a corrosion protection layer and an antifriction layer covering the corrosion protection layer being provided on the expansion body. It is also provided that the corrosion protection layer is a Zn/Ni coating or a Zn/Fe coating. A manufacturing method for an expansion dowel of this type is also provided.
LOW PROFILE NYLON INSERT LOCK NUT
The present invention relates to prevailing torque lock nuts and, more particularly, to a low profile lock nut that maintains the same strength as its higher profile counterparts. The present lock nut is a non-metallic lock having an inner recess so as to receive a plastic insert, such as a nylon insert. In some embodiments, the plastic insert is a temperature resistant plastic insert capable of withstanding high temperatures. Further, in some embodiments, the present lock nut is manufactured to have increased hardness levels and subject to enhanced plating process that ensure superior corrosion resistance.

The composition according to the present disclosure is a composition for forming a lubricant coating layer on or above a threaded connection for pipes, and contains polyisobutylene, a metal soap, a wax and a basic metal salt of an aromatic organic acid. The threaded connection for pipes according to the present disclosure includes: a pin having a pin-side contact surface which includes a pin-side threaded portion; a box having a box-side contact surface which includes a box-side threaded portion; and a lubricant coating layer formed from the aforementioned composition as an outermost layer on or above at least one of the pin-side contact surface and the box-side contact surface.

Provided is a plating solution for a threaded connection used for forming a plating film excellent in galling resistance, crevice corrosion resistance, and exposure corrosion resistance. The plating solution contains no cyanide, but contains copper pyrophosphate, tin pyrophosphate, zinc pyrophosphate, pyrophosphate as a metal complexing agent, and a sulfur-containing compound of 40 g/L or less (excluding 0). The sulfur-containing compound includes: a mercapto compound and a sulfide compound defined by Chemical Formula (1); a dimer formed through a disulfide bond of the mercapto compounds; and one or more types of salts thereof:

An objective of the present invention is to provide a threaded connection for pipe or tube having an excellent anti-misalignment property and an appropriate shouldering torque, and further having excellent corrosion resistance and an excellent adhesiveness of a solid lubricant coating, and to provide a method of producing the threaded connection for pipe or tube. The threaded connection for pipe or tube according to the present embodiment includes a pin and a box. The pin and the box have contact surfaces including thread portions and unthreaded metal contact portions. The threaded connection for pipe or tube comprises an alloy plating layer consisting of a ZnNi alloy on the contact surface of at least one of the pin and the box, a phosphating layer, and a solid lubricant coating. These are stacked in an order of the alloy plating layer, phosphating layer, and the solid lubricant coating, from a contact surface side.

A method for producing a threaded nut of a threaded drive, includes the following steps: a sleeve is produced from a steel sheet which is suitable for case-hardening; a rolling profile for a rolling contact with rolling bodies is molded on the inner circumference of the sleeve, said rolling profile being wound in a helical manner about the longitudinal axis of the sleeve; a flange is welded to the end face of the sleeve; the flange is provided with a welding surface on the flange end face facing away from the sleeve for welding to a machine part; the welding surface initially has a diffusion-inhibiting layer which inhibits the penetration of carbon; and the welding surface is exposed by removing the diffusion-inhibiting layer after case-hardening the threaded nut. A threaded nut produced according to the method can be part of a ball screw drive, the flange of which can be welded to a provided machine part by the user.

A wheel fastener and method of forming a wheel fastener is provided. The wheel fastener has a fastener body comprising a threaded portion and an upper portion opposite the threaded portion. A load-bearing surface of the fastener body is shaped to cooperate with a fastener seat. A cap is decoupled from the fastener body and has a coating covering a cap base material to define a decorative appearance surface. The cap is crimped to the upper portion at a crimp area to retain the cap on the fastener body and define a wrenching surface. The cap does not cover the load-bearing surface. The coating of the cap comprises applying a nickel strike layer and a black chrome passivation layer to define a black appearance surface.

A method of applying a coating to a substrate includes ionic electrolytic plating a substrate submerged within an ionic liquid at ambient temperature, in ambient air, and at ambient pressure with aluminum. The ionic liquid includes imidazolium chloride compounds having aluminum chloride (AlCl.sub.3) and sodium dodecyl sulphate (C.sub.12H.sub.25NaO.sub.4S) in a mono ethylene glycol solution, and a deposition rate of the ionic electrolytic plating is controlled by a power supply within a temperature range between about 288 Kelvin (59? F.) to about 305 Kelvin (89? F.).
