Provided is a fastener stringer including a row of metal elements having a plating film formed with improved thickness uniformity without waste, even if the elements are not electrically connected to each other in advance. For each of ten adjacent metal elements of the fastener stinger, 0.6D.sub.1/A.sub.12.0 is satisfied in which A.sub.1 represents an average value of thickness of the plating film for the ten metal elements at element center on either one main surface side of the fastener tape, and D.sub.1 represents thickness of the plating film for each of the metal elements at the element center on the one main surface side of the fastener tape.

A method for subjecting garment accessories to a surface electrolytic treatment provides various metallic colors to metallic garment accessories in a cost effective manner. The method can provide a first metallic color on one side of outer surface of the garment accessory and provide a second metallic color on the other side of the outer surface, by placing one or more metallic garment accessories in an electrolytic solution in a non-contact state with an anode and a cathode for passing electric current through the electrolytic solution, passing electric current through the electrolytic solution and generating a bipolar phenomenon on the garment accessory.

The second electroplated layer-metallic element is a metallic element that is identical to at least one of the one or more base member-metallic elements. A ratio of the second electroplated layer-metallic element in the electroplated layer is continuously decreased as being away from the base member in the thickness direction of the electroplated layer. Alloy grains including at least the first and second electroplated layer-metallic elements are distributed in the electroplated layer such that a clear interface is not formed between the base member and the electroplated layer.

A method of producing a film-attached resin base may include supplying a surface treatment gas including at least fluorine gas to a resin base including reinforcing fibers so that embrittled regions are formed in a surface of the resin base and the reinforcing fiber present near the surface of the resin base is modified at least partially; removing at least the embrittled regions so that an uneven surface is formed on the resin base and the reinforcing fiber is at least partially exposed in the uneven surface; and forming a film onto the uneven surface of the resin base.

A one-piece trim bezel formed from multiple components. In the event of two co-molded components, the first co-molded part is composed of a polymerized material having an unpainted surface that may be a high gloss smooth surface or a textured low gloss surface and the second co-molded part, formed with the first part, is composed of a plateable plastic material. The plateable plastic material may be plateable with chrome. A multiple-shot injection molding process is used to form the one-piece trim bezel which joins the first co-molded part and the second co-molded part in one operation. The formed part is then subjected to a plating process during which time only the chrome deposits on the surface of the plateable plastic material of the second co-molded part while the surface of the first co-molded part remains unplated.
