An object is to enhance the accuracy of porosity and/or the flexibility in adjustment of the porosity in each portion of a plate. There is provided a plate that is placed between a substrate and an anode in a plating tank. The plate comprises a pore forming area in which a plurality of pores are formed, wherein the pore forming area includes a center portion, a middle portion located on an outer side of the center portion, and an outer circumferential portion located on an outer side of the middle portion, the center portion and the outer circumferential portion of the pore forming area have a plurality of oblong pores, and the middle portion of the pore forming area has a plurality of circular pores.

A system for printing metal interconnects on a substrate includes an anode substrate. A plurality of anodes are arranged on one side of the anode substrate with a first predetermined gap between adjacent ones of the plurality of anodes. A first plurality of fluid holes have one end located between the plurality of anodes. A plurality of control devices is configured to selectively supply current to the plurality of anodes, respectively. The anode substrate is arranged within a second predetermined gap of a work piece substrate including a metal seed layer. A ratio of the second predetermined gap to the first predetermined gap is in a range from 0.5:1 and 1.5:1. An array controller is configured to energize selected ones of the plurality of anodes using corresponding ones of the plurality of control devices while electrolyte solution is supplied through the first plurality of fluid holes between the anode substrate and the work piece substrate.

An electrochemical deposition system for depositing metal onto a workpiece, comprises a deposition chamber adapted to receive plating solution, a workpiece holder for holding a workpiece in a first plane, a shield holder for holding a shield in a second plane substantially parallel to the first plane, an agitation plate having a profiled surface to agitate plating solution, wherein the workpiece holder, shield holder and agitation plate are all adapted for insertion into and removal from the deposition chamber, and further comprising an actuator operable to change a relative distance between the workpiece holder and shield holder, in a direction normal to the first and second planes, while they are located within the deposition chamber.

An electrochemical deposition system for depositing metal onto a workpiece, comprises a deposition chamber adapted to receive plating solution, a workpiece holder for holding a workpiece in a first plane, a shield holder for holding a shield in a second plane substantially parallel to the first plane, an agitation plate having a profiled surface to agitate plating solution, wherein the workpiece holder, shield holder and agitation plate are all adapted for insertion into and removal from the deposition chamber, and further comprising an actuator operable to change a relative distance between the workpiece holder and shield holder, in a direction normal to the first and second planes, while they are located within the deposition chamber.
PLATING APPARATUS, PLATING METHOD, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING WIRE ROD HAVING THE SURFACE PLATED
A plating apparatus (10) is disclosed including a plating tank (9), cathodes (1a to 1f), a holding mechanism (2), at least one anode (3), and a rotation mechanism (4). The plating tank (9) contains an annularly or helically wound substrate (90) together with a plating solution. The cathodes (1a to 1f) are placed inside the plating tank (9). The holding mechanism (2) holds the cathodes (1a to 1f) at positions electrically connected to the outer periphery of the substrate (90) and holds the substrate (90) via the cathodes (1a to 1f). The anode (3) is placed at least on the inner periphery side of the substrate (90) held by the holding mechanism (2). The rotation mechanism (4) rotates at least either the substrate (90) and cathodes (1a to 1f) held by the holding mechanism (2) or the anode (3), or both, around the axis of the wound substrate (90).
PLATING APPARATUS, PLATING METHOD, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING WIRE ROD HAVING THE SURFACE PLATED
A plating apparatus (10) is disclosed including a plating tank (9), cathodes (1a to 1f), a holding mechanism (2), at least one anode (3), and a rotation mechanism (4). The plating tank (9) contains an annularly or helically wound substrate (90) together with a plating solution. The cathodes (1a to 1f) are placed inside the plating tank (9). The holding mechanism (2) holds the cathodes (1a to 1f) at positions electrically connected to the outer periphery of the substrate (90) and holds the substrate (90) via the cathodes (1a to 1f). The anode (3) is placed at least on the inner periphery side of the substrate (90) held by the holding mechanism (2). The rotation mechanism (4) rotates at least either the substrate (90) and cathodes (1a to 1f) held by the holding mechanism (2) or the anode (3), or both, around the axis of the wound substrate (90).
Plating apparatus and plating method
The present invention relates to a plating apparatus and a plating method for partially forming a plating film on an object to be plated. The plating apparatus includes: a rotary electrode configured to be rotatable; a plating solution holding unit arranged to the rotary electrode and configured to hold a plating solution; and a power supply unit configured to apply a voltage between the portion to be plated and the rotary electrode.
