A container for a liquid or pasty cosmetic product has an elongate body, a reservoir that contains the product and is movable in translation in the body between a top working position and a maximum depressed position under the action of an elastically compressible device, and an application element secured to a cap that is retractable into the body and including a shaft that is secured to the cap and is terminated by an applicator suitable for being loaded with product when it is dipped into the reservoir; a peripheral part provided with a locking finger that is movable transversely and a more flexible internal part that are attached to the reservoir close to its edge in order to engage in terms of sealing with a widened portion of the shaft and to lock the latter to the reservoir over only a part of the travel of the reservoir.

A cosmetic container includes a container body that has a receiving space with a top opening, the receiving space being adapt to receive a cosmetic product, a lid unit that is connected to the container body and that openably covers the top opening of the receiving space; and a press unit that includes a blocking member which is removably and pluggingly inserted into the receiving space for blocking the cosmetic product within the receiving space, and an abutment member which protrudes from the lid unit to abut against the blocking member. When the lid unit is released from the top opening of the receiving space, the abutment member is driven by and moves together with the lid unit away from, the receiving space.

An applicator for a stick product, such as lip balm, has a generally tubular housing closed at one end by an elastomeric base cap and at the other by an end cap. The base cap is connected to one end of a plunger shaft, and at the other end the shaft is connected to a tray holding a semi-solid mass of the stick product. The end cap is in the form of a mold so that the stick product may be molded onto the tray in situ. The end cap locks to the housing to cover the semi-solid mass, and when removed the base cap (e. g. durometer 70 A), which is bistable, having two relaxed configurations, may be depressed to move the mass out of the housing. The plunger and stick product are easily replaced.
