Grid-Energy Firming Process
A grid-energy firming process and a grid energy firming system. The process comprises alternating between a process for generating electrical energy, and a process for generating gaseous fuels in response to the energy demands of a grid energy system. The system comprises a reactor containing a carbonaceous fuel, and a heat exchanger to extract heat from the flue gas and/or gaseous fuel.
OXIDATIVE REFORMING AND ELECTROLYSIS SYSTEM AND PROCESS FOR HYDROGEN GENERATION
A process and system for generating hydrogen gas are described, in which water is electrolyzed to generate hydrogen and oxygen, and a feedstock including oxygenate(s) and/or hydrocarbon(s), is non-autothermally catalytically oxidatively reformed with oxygen to generate hydrogen. The hydrogen generation system in a specific implementation includes an electrolyzer arranged to receive water and to generate hydrogen and oxygen therefrom, and a non-autothermal segmented adiabatic reactor containing non-autothermal oxidative reforming catalyst, arranged to receive the feedstock, water, and electrolyzer-generated oxygen, for non-autothermal catalytic oxidative reforming reaction to produce hydrogen. The hydrogen generation process and system are particularly advantageous for using bioethanol to produce green hydrogen.
RECYCLE CONTENT HYDROGEN
A hydrogen composition having a recycle content value is obtained by processing a recycle content feedstock to make a recycle content hydrogen or by deducting from a recycle inventory a recycle content value applied to a hydrogen composition. At least a portion of the recycle content value in the feedstock or in an allotment obtained by a hydrogen manufacturer has its origin in recycled waste plastics.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INCREASING THE HYDROGEN PERMEANCE OF HYDROGEN-SEPARATION MEMBRANES IN SITU
Hydrogen-producing fuel processing systems and related methods. The systems include a hydrogen-producing region configured to produce a mixed gas stream from a feedstock stream, a hydrogen-separation membrane module having at least one hydrogen-selective membrane and configured to separate the mixed gas stream into a product hydrogen stream and a byproduct stream, and an oxidant delivery system configured to deliver an oxidant-containing stream to the hydrogen-separation membrane module in situ to increase hydrogen permeance of the hydrogen-selective membrane. The methods include operating a hydrogen-producing fuel processing system in a hydrogen-producing regime, and subsequently operating the hydrogen-producing fuel processing system in a restoration regime, in which an oxidant-containing stream is delivered to the hydrogen-separation membrane module in situ to expose the at least one hydrogen-selective membrane to the oxidant-containing stream to increase the hydrogen permeance of the at least one hydrogen-selective membrane.

Oil well product treatment
A plant for treating fluid products obtained from an oil well, to produce a hydrocarbon product, comprises a series of separators at progressively lower pressures, to which the fluid products are supplied in succession. A high pressure gas phase is obtained from the separator and is supplied to a flow restrictor so as to undergo cooling through the Joule Thomson effect, and then passed to a NGL separator to produce a natural gas liquid stream and a gaseous natural gas stream. The natural gas stream is then processed chemically, using a synthesis gas production unit, and a Fischer-Tropsch synthesis unit to produce a synthetic crude oil. The synthetic crude oil is supplied to one of the separators, and the natural gas liquid stream is supplied to another of the separators; the pressure in the one separator is greater than the pressure in the other separator.
Production of fuel
The present invention concerns the production and use of feedstock streams. Specifically, the present invention provides a process for the production of a commodity using two or more feedstock streams. Each feedstock stream is processed into a common intermediate and subsequently processed into a final product, such as electrical energy, a liquid fuel or a liquefied fuel, such as methanol, dimethyl ether, synthetic gasoline, diesel, kerosene, or jet fuel. The common intermediate may be synthetic gas (syngas), producer gas or pyrolysis gas.
