A kit for usage by a nail polish application apparatus, the kit comprising one or more nail polish capsules. Each of the nail polish capsule(s) comprises a body portion defining a reservoir containing a nail polish fluid and a non-screw detachable cover having an integrated nail polish applying element. The non-screw detachable cover is mechanically coupled to an upper face of the body portion to seal an opening in the upper face.

The invention relates to a device (10) for preparing a cosmetic composition comprising: —a structure defining a housing receiving at least one capsule (16) containing at least one constituent of the cosmetic composition, —an outlet nozzle (32), —a piston movable in translation in relation to the structure in the housing, suitable for perforating the or each capsule (16) and conveying contents of each capsule (16) to the outlet nozzle (32), and —a preform (54) fluidically connected to the outlet nozzle (32). This invention relates to a packaging and distribution assembly (10) for a fluid product, of the type comprising: a storage member (22), comprising a tubular reservoir (40) able to receive a first fluid composition; a closed chamber (130) in communication with the tubular reservoir; and a pressurization member (24), able to move axially in such a way as to decrease a volume of said closed chamber. The closed chamber is sealed from the air in a deployed configuration of the storage and pressurization members, corresponding to a maximum volume of the closed chamber. The storage member (22) and the pressurization member (24) comprise means (76) for breaking the seal of the closed chamber in a compact configuration of said storage and pressurization members, said compact configuration corresponding to a minimum volume of the closed chamber.

A dispensing system (2000), includes a container (900) containing a flowable base formulation (910) to be dispensed, an additive mixing device (2004), and an actuable pump engine (2002) which draws the flowable base formulation from the container and pumps it through the mixing device. The additive mixing device includes a body (2022) with an internal cavity (2052), an additive ingredient (2054) within the cavity, and a flow path/mixing chamber (2058) between an input and an output. With each pump of the device (2004) the additive ingredient is introduced into, and mixed with, a flow of the base formulation traveling through the mixing device. Multiple additive mixing devices (2004) may be interchangeable for different formulations, and the mixing devices may be refillable.

A device for dispensing a formulation of at least two compounds selected from a set of selectable compounds includes a plurality of containers storing the different selectable compounds, a pump associated with each container, a dispensing surface that includes at least two through openings configured to convey at least two selected compounds, a selector configured to connect the at least two through openings to the pumps for the selected compounds and to close the other pumps, and an actuator configured to activate all of the pumps and to only deliver the at least two selected compounds onto the dispensing surface.

A system is provided that includes a mobile user device executes an application that receives a selection of a target color of lipstick from a user, and determines and transmit a recipe for generating the target color of the lipstick that is based on a combination of a plurality of separate lipstick ingredients. The system includes a dispensing device configured to receive the transmitted recipe from the mobile user device and dispense each of the plurality of separate lipstick ingredients onto a common dispensing surface such that when the dispensed amounts of each of the plurality of separate lipstick ingredients is blended on the dispensing surface, the target color of the lipstick is achieved. The mobile user device is configured to present at least one candidate color of lipstick to the user that is based on at least a user profile of the user of the smartphone.

An apparatus is provide for dispensing cosmetic material, including a dispensing device configured to receive at least one cartridge that contains a cosmetic material and to dispense a specified amount of the cosmetic material from the cartridge onto a dispensing surface. The dispensing surface is configured to be part of a detachable portion of the apparatus. The dispensing device further includes a retractable plate disposed beneath the detachable portion, wherein a dispensing end of the at least one cartridge is configured to penetrate the retractable plate and the detachable portion, such that (i) when the retractable plate is at a stable highest position, the dispensing end of the at least one cartridge is flush with the surface of the retractable plate, (ii) when the retractable plate is moved to a predetermined stable downward position below the highest position, and the detachable portion is placed on the retractable surface, the dispensing end of the at least one cartridge is flush with the dispensing surface and the retractable plate is configured to move even further downward to an unstable position in response to a downward force on the detachable portion.

A system is provided that includes a mobile user device that executes an application that determines a skintone of a user, and determines and transmits a recipe for generating a target foundation that is based on a combination of a plurality of separate foundation ingredients that are associated with the skintone of the user. The system includes a dispensing device configured to receive the transmitted recipe from the mobile user device and dispense each of the plurality of separate foundation ingredients onto a common dispensing surface such that when the dispensed amounts of each of the plurality of separate foundation ingredients is blended on the dispensing surface, the target foundation is achieved. The mobile user device is configured to determine a skintone of the user based on features in a detected face of the user in a self-taken image of the user that is captured by a camera of the mobile user device.
