The present invention provides a modified formula to make a hydrophilic foam. In some embodiments this modified formula adds a filler which causes the foam to become less absorptive, which has the benefit of making available to the skin more makeup or other products, while also providing a superior esthetic application of makeup on the skin. In other embodiments the modified formula makes the hydrophilic foam easier to clean and reduces the staining propensity of the foam. In other embodiments the modified formula uses an additive to the properties or usability of the foam in some way. Providing the filler and additive can be done in combination or separately depending on the desired benefits or properties of the foam. In some embodiments the foam is fashioned into a shape suitable for makeup application.

A cosmetic sponge drying and storage container has a plurality of components, including at least a first component and a second component, the first component being moveable with respect to the second component to position the container in at least an open condition and a closed condition. At least one of the first component or said second component is perforated with perforations. A cosmetic sponge may be placed within the container when in the open condition and the perforations provide at least 10% ventilation when the container is in the closed condition. Preferably, both the first and second components are perforated to provide for cross-ventilation. In addition, a base may be provided to support the first and second components, and most preferably the base may be perforated.

A dispenser with a transfer assembly is arranged to efficiently transfer a stored liquid from a reservoir in a body of the dispenser to an applicator. The transfer assembly includes an adapter, applicator base, piston and a bias member. The adapter is in contact with the body and has a central member with orifices to fluidly couple the applicator base to the reservoir. The applicator base is supported by and extends beyond the adapter. The applicator base forms a cavity for housing the piston and the bias member. A tubular member of the applicator base supports an applicator. The piston includes a passage that conveys the stored liquid from the cavity to the applicator. The bias member keeps the head of the piston against a surface of the central member. When stored liquid is under a pressure that exceeds a bias force, displacement of the piston, opens a seal.

A discharge head for a liquid dispenser for discharging cosmetic products which has a base to be secured to a liquid storage. The base has a coupling device in the form of a thread or a latching coupling device, for coupling to the liquid storage. The discharge head has a sponge carrier with a sponge receptacle in which a sponge is arranged. The sponge carrier is movable in a translationally guided manner with respect to the base and has a hollow connector inside which a liquid channel is provided that connects the liquid storage to the sponge receptacle. There is provided herein a tip for a cosmetic eyeliner allowing for the convenient and accurate application of cosmetic eyeliner. The tip comprises a generally elongate cosmetic impregnated or coated body shaped to define a nib at a distal end thereof. The nib is of generally triangular cross-section along an elongate axis of the tip so as to define two lateral faces meeting at a rearward edge thereof and a forward face between the lateral faces. The forward facing and the two lateral faces meet at a point at a distal end of the nib. As such, in use, the tip allows for the convenient application of eyeliner cosmetic wherein the forward face is configured for stamping a cosmetic wing shape and an outer edge of an eye when the nib is in a first angle of rotation.
