The present invention provides a cold plasma ozone generator, comprising: an inlet gas port; at least one in-electrode, said in-electrode having a plurality of holes substantially at a perimeter of the same; said plurality of perimeter holes are in fluid communication with said inlet gas port, said plurality of perimeter holes configured to allow said dry gas to pass therethrough; at least one out-electrode, said out-electrode having at least one hole at the center of the same, said at least one hole configured to allow gas to pass therethrough; said in-electrode and said out-electrode configured to maintain said high voltage AC therebetween; at least one spacer between said in-electrode and said out-electrode, said spacer configured to maintain a constant-width gap between said in-electrode and said out-electrode; an outlet port.

Ozone generation with directly cooled plasma channels

An ozone generator with a high voltage electrode and at least one counter electrode which limit a gap in which at least one dielectric and an electrically non-conductive structure are arranged and through which a stream of gas flows in a direction of flow. The high voltage electrode and the at least one counter electrode are provided with a connection for an electrical voltage supply in order to generate silent discharges. The electrically non-conductive structure contains pores with a nominal pore size (x) of 100 m<x<1 mm.

COMPACT OZONE GENERATOR WITH MULTI-GAP ELECTRODE ASSEMBLY

A device for generating ozone from oxygen-containing gas by silent electric discharge. At least two high-voltage electrodes and at least one ground electrode are nested. A discharge gap is defined between each high-voltage electrode and adjacent ground electrode. A dielectric is arranged in each discharge gap. In one embodiment, at least two discharge gaps are traversed by the gas, and a different voltage is applied to each gap according to the individual gap width. In another embodiment, filler material is arranged in an interstice between the high-voltage electrode and the corresponding dielectric, and the same amount of power is applied to each discharge gap.

Ozone generator with position-dependent discharge distribution

An ozone generator includes a high-voltage electrode and at least one counter electrode, which define an interstice in which at least one dielectric is arranged and through which a gas flows in the flow direction. The high-voltage electrode and the at least one counter electrode are provided with a connection for an electrical voltage supply to generate silent discharges which are discharged from surface discharge locations. The mean sparking distance and the mean spacing between the high-voltage electrode and the at least one counter-electrode are constant. The number of surface discharge locations decreases in the flow direction.

Provided is an ion wind generation device which is capable of providing a wide range of ion delivery and providing ion wind having a reduced ozone concentration near a nozzle without use of a filter or the like. The ion wind generation device includes an electrode pair including a discharge electrode body having a discharge portion and a counter electrode body having a plurality of end portions, and generates ion wind by corona discharge that occurs due to a potential difference generated between the discharge portion and the end portions. The end portions are located spaced apart from one another in a single plane and disposed around an axis of the discharge electrode body in the single plane or disposed along a line in the single plane.

Ozone generation at high pressures

A method for producing ozone at elevated pressure with a capacity of at least 1 kg ozone/hour by an ozone generator having a high voltage electrode and a counter electrode. The electrodes delimit a gap in which a dielectric is arranged and through which a gas containing oxygen and having a gas pressure of p.sub.gas flows. The high voltage electrode and the counter electrode with a connection for an electric power supply to generate discharges are provided in at least one discharge gap. The power supply provides a voltage in a range from 1 kV to 50 kV and wherein stroke widths di of the discharge are distributed between a minimum stroke width d.sub.min and a maximum stroke width d.sub.max. The gas pressure p.sub.gas of the gas containing oxygen at the outlet of the ozone generator is at least 3 bar.

An apparatus comprising a cold-plasma ozone generator, the ozone generator comprising: a non-arcing non-coronal ozone production cell capable of generating ozone; the ozone production cell having a pair of electrodes placed on two sides of the production cell and spaced apart by an electrode gap, and a dielectric layer on each of the electrodes facing inward into the ozone production cell; a high-voltage pulse generator attached to the electrodes and configured for producing a glow discharge cold plasma between the electrodes, the high-voltage pulse generator being able to produce sufficient voltage to generate the glow discharge cold plasma; a cooling system attached to each of the electrodes; and an oxygen source adapted to provide gas flow through the production cell in the gap between the pair of electrodes that efficiently generates ozone in the cold plasma, wherein the dielectric layers are intimately and directly bonded to each of the electrodes.
