Skin-care apparatus
A hand-held skin-treatment apparatus includes a deformable cover enclosing a longitudinally-extending volume. The cover has an exterior surface with a selected surface roughness. An elongated rigid support member is arranged within the volume. A compliant member is disposed within the volume and at least partly between the support member and the cover, so that the cover is held substantially stationary with respect to the compliant member. Another apparatus includes an elongated flexible support member. A tip protrudes transversely from a distal end of the support member and a handle is attached to the proximal end. An elongated compliant member is attached to the support member along the length of the compliant member. A cover encloses the tip, part of the compliant member, and a corresponding part of the support member, and has lower surface roughness over a dorsal side than over a ventral side of the support.
Lip exfoliating device
A lip exfoliator includes an exfoliant with one or more dry abrasive materials for exfoliation of the lips, which may be provided as a single compact unit. Embodiments of a lip exfoliator may include an attachment surfacesuch as an adhesive sticker, suction device, or cup mechanismfor attaching the lip exfoliator to a lip balm or other cosmetic. Thus, a consumer may use embodiments of the lip exfoliator with a lip balm or cosmetic of their choice easily while on the go.
MULTI-MOVEMENT COSMETIC DEVICE
A multi-movement cosmetic assembly includes a housing defining an interior; a drive system disposed within the housing; a sleeve received within the housing; and a drive shaft positioned in the sleeve. The drive system is operably coupled to the sleeve and the drive shaft such that actuation of the drive system causes (i) the sleeve to move laterally back and forth to oscillate relative to the housing, and (ii) the drive shaft to rotate relative to the housing.
BEAUTY AND SKIN CARE TREATMENT PRODUCT AND METHOD
The beauty or skin-care treatment may be a single use system for providing a manicure or pedicure treatment or other beauty or skin-care service. Each primary packaging that may be provided with the beauty or skin-care treatment may contain a beauty or skin-care product that may be used in providing the treatments. The beauty or skin-care treatment may include multiple primary packages in the form of single-serve packaging provided collectively as a set. The set may be housed in the secondary packaging and packaged together to form a multi-step treatment. The beauty or skin-care products contained in the single-serve packaging may be made of ingredients beneficial to the skin and may include products to aid in sanitizing, exfoliating, nourishing, hydrating and moisturizing the skin.
Hand held dermaplaning device and dermaplaning process
A method and a hand-held device for dermaplaning is disclosed that includes a blade with a safety cage forming an assembly removably mounted to a housing. The dermaplaning device is configured to limit the depth that the blade can penetrate the skin which makes the device safe for use by non-professionals. The dermaplaning device is electrically powered to cause the blade to vibrate at a predetermined frequency. Various embodiments of the hand-held dermaplaning device are disclosed for vibrating the blade. In accordance with an important aspect of the invention, the blade includes a safety guard for limiting the amount of penetration of the blade into the facial skin to enable the device to be safely used by non-professionals.
Exfoliating head for a personal care appliance
Exfoliating heads with an abrasive surface are disclosed for use with a personal care appliance. The personal care appliance is configured to oscillate the exfoliating head to provide improved smoothing and exfoliation of a subject's epidermis with or without the antecedent application of skin care formula. The oscillating action of the exfoliating head may be rotational, translational, or a combination thereof. In use, the personal care appliance oscillates the abrasive surface of the exfoliating head over a subject's skin in order to remove dead skin from the subject's epidermis. The exfoliating heads may be used to treat rough skin conditions, such as calluses or corns, which have developed on a patient's hand or foot.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR USING EFFERVESCENT TABLETS FOR COSMETIC CARE
An apparatus and method for providing cosmetic treatment to skin comprise one material chemically active in a solid form preferably in a tablet form and a second material which is chemically reactive with the first material so that effervescence is produced during the reaction. The chemically active materials may be activated by a user for providing cosmetic treatment to skin. The activation releases effervescence which urges granules of the reacting materials onto the skin. The size of the granules lowers during the reaction thus providing continuously refining peeling to the skin.
APPLICATOR DEVICE OR DISPENSER WITH STONE TIP
An applicator device or dispenser includes a stone applicator tip and a housing which may, in some examples, have a reservoir for containing a product, such as a cosmetics product or a medicinal product. The stone tip comprises a material that is capable of storing and retaining and/or transferring thermal energy during application of the product.
Abrasive Skin Treatment Device
An abrasive skin treatment device including a handle portion, a head portion including an exfoliating element, and a unitary pivoting mechanism providing relative movement between the handle portion and the head portion along at least two planes.
