The invention relates to methods of treating baldness, treating alopecia, promoting hair growth, and/or promoting hair follicle development and/or activation or stimulation on an area of the skin of a subject (for example, a human) by subjecting said area of the skin to integumental perturbation. Integumental perturbation can be used in combination with other treatments for promoting hair growth. The invention provides devices for integumental perturbation for promoting hair growth, and provides pharmaceutical compositions for use in combination with integumental perturbation for promoting hair growth.

A handheld skin exfoliating apparatus has handle and head portions with two drums having different abrasiveness mounted on opposite sides of the head portion. A drive motor and gears are mounted to the handle and/or head portions and operatives to rotate the drums for exfoliate skin when a respective outer surface of one drum contacts the skin.

An applicator device or dispenser includes an applicator tip assembly and a housing which may, in some examples, have a reservoir for containing a product, such as a cosmetics product or a medicinal product. A lotion application device is used for applying creams or lotions on difficult-to-reach places on the body, like the feet. The lotion application device comprises a base component that is configured with an open cavity for a user to insert at least one foot. Within the open cavity of the base component, an electrically powered brush with two spinning brush heads is positioned. The electrically powered brush is operated via a remote control. Further, lotion or ointment is stored within the base component and dispensed onto a user's feet and ankles, as needed. Once a person places their foot into the open cavity of the base component, he/she can activate the device with the remote control and utilize the gentle scrubbing brush heads to evenly distribute lotion to treat dry and cracked skin on the feet.

A foot treatment apparatus for clipping toenails from a distance away from the toenails includes a rod with a nail clipper mounted to an end of the rod. An actuator is mounted to the rod as is operable to move a lever of the nail clipper to clip a toenail. An input for the actuator is positioned at another end of the rod so that the nail clipper may be operated from a distance.

An apparatus and method for providing cosmetic treatment to skin comprise one material chemically active in a solid form preferably in a tablet form and a second material which is chemically reactive with the first material so that effervescence is produced during the reaction. The chemically active materials may be activated by a user for providing cosmetic treatment to skin. The activation releases effervescence which urges granules of the reacting materials onto the skin. The size of the granules lowers during the reaction thus providing continuously refining peeling to the skin.

This invention relates to a novel personal care product having a flat treatment sheet having an upper surface and a perimeter area on the upper surface, a frame member having an underside surface and at least one tab, wherein the frame member is disposed over the perimeter area of the flat treatment sheet and the underside surface of the frame member is coplanar with the upper surface of the flat treatment sheet and the at least one tab extends below the lower surface of the treatment sheet. An upper product end of the personal care product includes a housing having at least one housing window. The at least one tab of the frame member is bent into the housing window. The frame member includes a flat or chamfered upper surface. The flat treatment sheet treats skin, removes hair, or a combination thereof.

According to some embodiments, a skin treatment assembly comprises a tip comprising a proximal end and a distal end, a container configured to secure to the tip along the proximal end of the tip, wherein the container is configured to contain a liquid, and a porous member configured to extend at least partially within an interior of the container such that it contact a liquid contained within the container, wherein the porous member is configured to extend at least partially within an interior of the tip and is configured to facilitate the transfer of liquid from the container to the distal end of the tip.
