Personal care devices (or apparatuses) are described to deliver/activate a bioactive compound/botanical compound/biologically active molecule (including a regulatory protein/growth factor) or a mixture of bioactive compounds/botanical compounds/biologically active molecules (including regulatory proteins/growth factors) for growth and protection of hair or rejuvenation and protection of skin, which utilizes nanoencapsulation/nanoemulsion and/or activation/photoactivation. Such devices (or apparatuses) utilize a light low intensity module/x-ray and nanooptical elements/three-dimensionally (3-D) printed micro/nanostructures.

A sonic exfoliating glove includes a glove shaped member having a hand receiving portion with a hand receiving opening therein, four finger receiving portions, and a thumb receiving portion, the glove shaped member defining a palm surface overlying a palm and finger and thumb pads of a hand inserted therein. Five of six exfoliating pads are fixedly attached to the four finger receiving portions and the thumb receiving portion, one each, generally overlying the finger and thumb pads of the respective finger or thumb. A sixth exfoliating element is fixedly attached to the glove shaped member, so as to overly a central portion of the palm. A pair of gloves for removing calluses and dry skin including a first glove (11) having an abrasive surface of 100 to 150 grit (7) on at least one finger portion (3) of the glove for removing calluses and dead skin from the heel and other parts of the foot, hand, elbow and knees; and a second glove (12) having an abrasive surface of 200 to 250 grit (8) on at least one finger portion (3) of the glove to remove excess dead skin and to smooth/polish the heel and other parts of the foot, hand, elbow and knees; wherein both gloves have an abrasive surface of 220 to 320 grit on the palm/heel portion (4) of the glove for further polish and smoothing.

An applicator device or dispenser includes an applicator tip assembly and a housing which may, in some examples, have a reservoir for containing a product, such as a cosmetics product or a medicinal product. The applicator tip assembly may be coupled to the housing and may comprise a thermal storage applicator portion having an application face for applying the product to a surface, the thermal storage applicator portion being made from a material that is capable of storing and retaining and/or transferring thermal energy during application of the product. The invention relates to methods of treating baldness, treating alopecia, promoting hair growth, and/or promoting hair follicle development and/or activation or stimulation on an area of the skin of a subject (for example, a human) by subjecting said area of the skin to integumental perturbation. Integumental perturbation can be used in combination with other treatments for promoting hair growth. The invention provides devices for integumental perturbation for promoting hair growth, and provides pharmaceutical compositions for use in combination with integumental perturbation for promoting hair growth.

The present invention relates to dual textured treatment cleansing articles comprising first and second outer members forming first and second sides of the article. The first and second sides are both textured, although preferably the sides have different textures to provide the user with differing degrees of cleaning in a single cleansing article. For example, in one embodiment, the first side has coefficient of friction greater than 0.50, such as from 0.50 to about 0.75 and more preferably from about 0.55 to about 0.65, and the second side has coefficient of friction less than 0.50, such as from about 0.30 to 0.50 and more preferably from about 0.35 to about 0.45

An apparatus and method for providing cosmetic treatment to skin comprise one material chemically active in a solid form preferably in a tablet form and a second material which is chemically reactive with the first material so that effervescence is produced during the reaction. The chemically active materials may be activated by a user for providing cosmetic treatment to skin. The activation releases effervescence which urges granules of the reacting materials onto the skin. The size of the granules lowers during the reaction thus providing continuously refining peeling to the skin.

An exfoliation and body cream application mitt is configured to apply a thickened liquid to a human user. The exfoliation and body cream application mitt has a back side and a front side joined to one another forming a pocket therebetween. The front side is adapted to accomplish exfoliation and the back side is adapted to accomplish lotion application. A soft fabric arranged within the back side and configured to gently spread body creams, foams and lotions to a skin surface. A wrist section is arranged between the back side and the front side, defining an opening for receiving a hand of a user.
