A roller head for a skin treatment device configured to drive the roller head by an electro-mechanical mechanism; the roller head comprises a drum and one or more flaps that extend radially from the drum; the one or more flaps comprises a first surface and a second surface and the one or more flaps are configured to flex so that, in use, a first surface of the flap contacts with the skin with when the roller head rotated in a clockwise direction and a second surface of the flap contacts with the skin with when the roller head rotated in an anticlockwise direction.

The present invention relates to cleansing articles comprising first and second members forming the first and second outer surface of the article respectively, where the coefficient of friction and/or permeability of the members are different. In certain embodiments the first member comprises a plurality of polymeric protuberances and the second member comprises a plurality of hollow projections.

The hair removal and scrubbing device is provided. The device is characterized by a composite body plate (10) manufactured and formed from a crystal material forming a plate with a defined shape with a peripheral edge which has a special feature. According to some embodiments, a skin treatment assembly comprises a tip comprising a proximal end and a distal end, a container configured to secure to the tip along the proximal end of the tip, wherein the container is configured to contain a liquid, and a porous member configured to extend at least partially within an interior of the container such that it contact a liquid contained within the container, wherein the porous member is configured to extend at least partially within an interior of the tip and is configured to facilitate the transfer of liquid from the container to the distal end of the tip.

An exfoliation and body cream application mitt is configured to apply a thickened liquid to a human user. The exfoliation and body cream application mitt has a back side and a front side joined to one another forming a pocket therebetween. The front side is adapted to accomplish exfoliation and the back side is adapted to accomplish lotion application. A soft fabric arranged within the back side and configured to gently spread body creams, foams and lotions to a skin surface. A wrist section is arranged between the back side and the front side, defining an opening for receiving a hand of a user.

Disclosed herein are methods, apparatuses, systems for treating and preventing pseudofolliculitis barbae on a skin surface area. A method comprising: applying a first cosmetic product to a skin surface area affected by pseudofolliculitis barbae; contacting a stone grooming apparatus, having a convex tephra composite head and a cylindrical elongated member handle, to the skin surface area affected by pseudofolliculitis barbae in a consistent motion and in an amount effective to dislodge embedded ingrown hairs on the skin surface area affected by pseudofolliculitis barbae; exfoliating inflamed skin particles on the skin surface area affected by pseudofolliculitis barbae; and applying a second cosmetic product to the skin surface area affected by pseudofolliculitis barbae. An apparatus comprising: a head having a first portion and a second portion, the first portion comprising a stone portion configured to contact a skin surface affected by pseudofolliculitis barbae in a consistent motion and in an amount effective to dislodge embedded ingrown hairs on the skin surface area affected by pseudofolliculitis barbae; and a handle comprising an elongated member having a shaft portion and a base portion configured to contact the skin surface affected by pseudofolliculitis barbae in a consistent motion and in an amount effective exfoliate inflamed skin particles on the skin surface affected by pseudofolliculitis barbae.

Biodegradable facial pads for exfoliation purposes are disclosed. The facial pad includes a top layer and a bottom layer made of a hydro-entangled, non-woven fibrous material. A coarse fabric material that may have undulations to provide exfoliating effect is sandwiched between the top layer and the bottom layer. The coarse fabric layer is configured to provide stiffness to the pads so as to aid and facilitate exfoliation. The top layer, bottom layer and the coarse material layer are pinched together along the edges to form an exfoliating pad of specified weight. The top layer is configured to overlay the coarse fabric layer to incorporate the undulations in the coarse fabric layer. This may form exfoliating peaks and absorbent cotton valleys that are suitable for removal of dead cells from the skin when used for exfoliating purposes.

An apparatus and method for providing cosmetic treatment to skin comprise one material chemically active in a solid form preferably in a tablet form and a second material which is chemically reactive with the first material so that effervescence is produced during the reaction. The chemically active materials may be activated by a user for providing cosmetic treatment to skin. The activation releases effervescence which urges granules of the reacting materials onto the skin. The size of the granules lowers during the reaction thus providing continuously refining peeling to the skin.

The present invention provides personal cleaning articles useful for cleaning and/or exfoliating the skin. These articles provide multiple distinct patterns of relatively smooth and coarse elements to provide a user the ability to readily achieve the desired degree of cleansing and/or exfoliation. Further, the article provides a relatively smooth apertured outer layer and a relatively coarse underlying layer whereby a user can, with the application of varied amounts of pressure, more readily achieve and control a wider range of mechanical cleaning and/or exfoliating action against the skin. In certain aspects, the article may also be impregnated with one or more topical skin cleaning and/or exfoliating compounds.

An applicator device or dispenser includes an applicator tip assembly and a housing which may, in some examples, have a reservoir for containing a product, such as a cosmetics product or a medicinal product. The applicator tip assembly may be coupled to the housing and may comprise a thermal storage applicator portion having an application face for applying the product to a surface, the thermal storage applicator portion being made from a material that is capable of storing and retaining and/or transferring thermal energy during application of the product. The applicator tip assembly may further comprise a main body portion having a product delivery passageway extending through the main body portion for dispensing a product to the application face of the thermal storage applicator portion, the main body portion configured to at least partially enclose the thermal storage applicator portion at a periphery of the thermal storage applicator portion.
