A device for applying or removing nail polish or nail art has a replaceable cartridge with a distal end removably coupleable to a proximal end of a handle. The cartridge has a reservoir that contains a liquid, such as nail polish or nail polish remover and a flow control member (e.g., valve) actuatable to allow flow of the liquid out of the distal end of the cartridge. The handle has a flow path therethrough that extends between its proximal end to an applicator implement (e.g., brush, sponge) attached to its distal end, the flow path in fluid communication with the flow control member when the cartridge is coupled to the handle. A makeup utility case for use by individuals to remove, touchup or reapply makeup, especially around one's eyes, is disclosed. The small utility case is configured to hold a plurality of dual-end applicators, a liquid compartment that maintains a natural makeup removing liquid, and a mirror surface. In usage, the user removes an applicator from the case, applies the makeup removing liquid to one end of the applicator, uses the applicator to remove or touchup her or his makeup, uses the opposite or dry end of the application to dry and further touchup the user's makeup, and then disposes of the applicator. The applicators may be designed and manufactured using biodegradable materials. The liquid containing compartment may be fabricated into one end of the case, or may be located in at least one removable container attached to one surface of the utility case.

A cosmetic device having a main body portion, and a brush portion disposed outside the main body portion, the cosmetic device including a vibration motor disposed in the main body portion and having a rotary shaft equipped with an eccentric weight; a motor holding portion that holds the vibration motor; a coupling portion disposed in the main body portion that connects the motor holding portion to the main body portion in a relatively displaceable state; and a brush attachment portion extending from the motor holding portion and connected to the brush portion, wherein the brush attachment portion extends in a direction different from an axial direction of the rotary shaft in the vibration motor.
