Among other things, the present invention encompasses the applicant's recognition that epoxide carbonylation can be performed industrially utilizing syngas streams containing hydrogen, carbon monoxide and varying amounts carbon dioxide. Contrary to expectation, the epoxide carbonylation reaction proceeds selectively in the presence of these mixed gas streams and incorporates excess CO in the syngas stream into valuable chemical precursors, resulting in hydrogen streams substantially free of CO. This is economically and environmentally preferable to performing WSGR which releases the excess carbon as CO2. The integrated processes herein therefore provide improved carbon efficiency for processes based on coal or biomass gasification or steam methane reforming.

Conditioned syngas composition, method of making same and method of processing same to produce fuels and/or fischer-tropsch products

A system and method for processing unconditioned syngas first removes solids and semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOC), then removes volatile organic compounds (VOC), and then removes at least one sulfur containing compound from the syngas. Additional processing may be performed depending on such factors as the source of syngas being processed, the products, byproducts and intermediate products desired to be formed, captured or recycled and environmental considerations.

Ammonia removal equipment including a first ammonia removal apparatus that removes ammonia in a mixed gas containing hydrogen and ammonia, a second ammonia removal apparatus that is installed at a stage subsequent to the first ammonia removal apparatus and that treats a first treated gas treated by the first ammonia removal apparatus, and a first ammonia concentration measurement apparatus that measures the ammonia concentration in the first treated gas treated by the first ammonia removal apparatus.

SEPARATOR SYSTEM AND TAR REFORMER SYSTEM

A separator system for treating a gas from a biomass gasification system, including: first and second cyclones, where the first cyclone includes an inlet for receiving a gas from a biomass gasification unit, the first cyclone being arranged for removing particulate matter from the gas from the biomass gasification unit in order to provide a first cleaner gas, piping arranged to lead the first cleaner gas to the second cyclone, where the second cyclone is arranged to remove particulate matter from the first cleaner gas in order to provide a second cleaner gas, a pipe arranged to lead the second cleaner gas to a special piping element, the latter including a burner, thereby providing a third cleaned gas, and a gas distribution unit arranged to lead the third cleaned gas to one or more tar reformer units. Also, a method of treating a gas from a biomass gasification system.

An industrial gas production plant operable to produce a feedstock gas at a variable production rate for supply to the downstream process; and a gas storage resource operable to store produced feedstock gas, the method comprising: determining the pressure of feedstock gas in a supply feed line to the downstream process; selectively controlling, using a control system, a flow of feedstock gas from the supply feed line to the gas storage resource or from the gas storage resource to the supply feed line in response to the determined pressure in order to regulate the pressure of the feedstock gas in the supply feed line to the downstream process at a predetermined set point pressure; and selectively controlling, using a control system, a flow rate of feedstock gas in the supply feed line to the downstream process in dependence upon at least one operational parameter of the gas storage resource.

Methods For Extracting And Recycling Hydrogen From MOCVD Process Exhaust Gas By FTrPSA

The present invention discloses methods for extracting and recycling hydrogen in an MOCVD process by FTrPSA. Through pretreatment, fine deamination, PSA hydrogen extraction, deep dehydration and hydrogen purification procedures, ammonia-containing waste hydrogen from an MOCVD process is purified to meet the electronic-level hydrogen (the purity is greater than or equal to 99.99999% v/v) standard required by the MOCVD process, to implement resource reuse of exhaust gases, where the hydrogen yield is greater than or equal to 75-86%. The present invention solves the technical problem that atmospheric-pressure or low-pressure waste hydrogen from MOCVD processes cannot be returned to the MOCVD processes for use after being recycled, and fills the gap in green and circular economy development of the LED industry.
