SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR LOCAL GENERATION AND/OR CONSUMPTION OF HYDROGEN GAS
Systems for producing hydrogen gas for local distribution, consumption, and/or storage, and related devices and methods are disclosed herein. A representative system includes a pyrolysis reactor that can be coupled to a supply of reaction material that includes a hydrocarbon. The reactor includes one or more flow channels positioned to transfer heat to the reaction material to convert the hydrocarbon into an output that includes hydrogen gas and carbon particulates. The system also includes a carbon separation system operably coupled to the pyrolysis reactor to separate the hydrogen gas the carbon particulates in the output. In various embodiments, the system also includes components to locally consume the filtered hydrogen gas.

METHOD FOR OPERATING A CHEMICAL PLANT
A chemical plant and operating method therefor; the chemical plant comprises a steam turbine having a shaft, a first pressure turbine stage and a second pressure turbine stage, each being arranged on the shaft and being connected in series in terms of the steam process; steam for driving the steam turbine is obtained from a reactor plant, said reactor plant producing a hydrogen-containing substance from a carbon-containing energy-carrier stream; the steam is heated in an overheating step before being supplied to the second pressure turbine stage; the steam turbine has a third pressure turbine stage which is arranged on the shaft and which is connected between the first pressure turbine stage and the second pressure turbine stage in terms of the steam process; and the steam passes through the overheating step after exiting the third pressure turbine stage.
FEED GAS REFORMING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME
A feed gas reforming system is provided. The system includes a reformer configured to receive feed gas and supply water and to produce and discharge mixed gas including hydrogen, a pressure swing absorber (PSA) configured to receive the mixed gas and to refine and discharge hydrogen gas, a feed gas supply unit configured to control the supply amount of feed gas, a supply water supply unit configured to control the supply amount of supply water, a hydrogen gas supply unit configured to control the amount of hydrogen gas, and a control unit configured to control the flow rate of hydrogen gas, to control the feed gas supply unit based on the pressure of the discharged hydrogen gas, and to control the supply water supply unit based on the flow rate of feed gas.

According to one aspect of the present invention, a hydrogen production apparatus includes a hydrogen production mechanism configured to produce a hydrogen gas from a raw material by using a catalyst; and an operation control circuit configured to input a parameter value as an index indicating a state of the catalyst, and configured to control an operation maximum load of the hydrogen production mechanism to be variable in correspondence with the parameter value.

According to one embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a hydrogen extraction reactor, comprising a chamber including an inner space; a reaction unit which is provided to pass through the inside of the chamber and where an endothermic reaction for hydrogen extraction occurs; a heating unit which is provided to be spaced apart from the reaction unit inside the chamber and transfers heat to the inside of the chamber; and a heat transfer material which is provided between the reaction unit and the heating unit in the chamber, wherein the heat transfer material undergoes a phase transition between a gas phase and a liquid phase according to the entry and exit of heat from the heating unit or the reaction unit.
ATR-Based Hydrogen Process and Plant
A plant and process for producing a hydrogen rich gas and improved carbon capture are provided, said process comprising the steps of: reforming a hydrocarbon feed by optional prereforming, autothermal reforming (ATR), yet no primary reforming, thereby obtaining a synthesis gas; shifting said synthesis gas in a shift section including a high temperature shift step; removal of CO.sub.2 upstream hydrogen purification unit, thereby producing a hydrogen rich stream and an off-gas stream, and where at least part of the off-gas stream is recycled to the process, thus to the ATR and optional prereforming, and/or to the shift section.
HYDROCARBON WAVE REFORMER AND METHODS OF USE
A method and system of using a type of wave rotor to reform a hydrocarbon fluid using pressure waves within the wave rotor to reformulate a hydrocarbon fluid, such as methane or the like, into a lighter hydrocarbon, hydrogen, or, in some instances, hydrogen, partially decomposed hydrocarbon fluid and carbon solids.
PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF HYDROGEN-ENRICHED SYNTHESIS GAS
The invention relates to a process for the production of hydrogen-enriched synthesis gas by a catalytic water-gas shift reaction, comprising the steps: introducing a gaseous flow (1) comprising at least one organic sulphide, optionally in its oxide form, in a first reactor (2) comprising a catalyst X.sub.1, collecting a sulfur-containing gaseous flow (3) from the first reactor, introducing the raw synthesis gas (4) in a second reactor (6), introducing the sulfur-containing gaseous flow (3) in the second reactor where the catalytic water-gas shift reaction takes place and comprising a sulfur-resistant shift catalyst X.sub.2, collecting an outlet flow (7) comprising hydrogen-enriched synthesis gas from the second reactor.
The invention also relates to the use of said at least one organic sulphide, optionally in its oxide form, in a process for the production of hydrogen-enriched synthesis gas by a catalytic water-gas shift reaction.
METHOD FOR PREPARING BIOCHAR AND HYDROGEN BY UTILIZING ANAEROBIC FERMENTATION BYPRODUCTS
A method for preparing biochar and hydrogen by utilizing anaerobic fermentation byproducts, the method including: (1) mixing a first straw, seeding sludge and distilled water, and then carrying out anaerobic fermentation to obtain a mixed product after fermentation; (2) performing separation on the mixed product to obtain a second straw and biogas slurry; and (3) carbonizing the second straw to obtain biochar, and collecting gas after a pressurized catalytic reaction on the biogas slurry to obtain hydrogen.
