Applicator device or dispenser with applicator tip assembly
An applicator device or dispenser includes an applicator tip assembly and a housing which may, in some examples, have a reservoir for containing a product, such as a cosmetics product or a medicinal product. The applicator tip assembly may be coupled to the housing and may comprise a thermal storage applicator portion having an application face for applying the product to a surface, the thermal storage applicator portion being made from a material that is capable of storing and retaining and/or transferring thermal energy during application of the product. The applicator tip assembly may further comprise a main body portion having a product delivery passageway extending through the main body portion for dispensing a product to the application face of the thermal storage applicator portion, the main body portion configured to at least partially enclose the thermal storage applicator portion at a periphery of the thermal storage applicator portion.

The application describes hair styling apparatus (1) for creating volume in a user's hair. The hair styling apparatus (1) comprises a heating member, a cooling member adjacent to the heating member, thermal insulation between the cooling member and the heating member and a tensioning member projecting from the heating member. The heating member comprises a heating contacting surface for heating hair in contact with the heating member. The cooling member has a cooling contacting surface for cooling hair in contact with the cooling member and the cooling member is cooled by an active cooling mechanism. The tensioning member tensions a user's hair against the heating contacting surface to improve heat transfer into a user's hair and applies stress to a user's hair as the hair contacts the cooling contacting surface adjacent the heating contacting surface whereby the hair is styled to create volume.

Methods, compositions and devices for customizing a cosmetic mask for application to an individual, the cosmetic mask comprising a gel-like formulation that, when heated, can be customized for specific application to the individual. The invention further provides for a semi-solid starting formulation comprising a solvent, a humectant, a thickener, an acid, water and an effective amount of agar, wherein the semi-solid starting formulation forms a hydrogel when heated. Specifically, the semi-solid starting formulation, once heated, is applied to the skin of an individual while still warm, then forming a gel-like material once the formulation is allowed to fully cool on the skin.
