INTEGRATED MODULAR BACKPACK AND UTILITY FRAME PLATFORM AND ELECTRONICS SUB SYSTEM
A backpack includes a frame system. The frame system has two L-shaped members, one or more cross bars, and an attachment bar. A pack has a base, a rear wall, a front wall, two side walls, and a closable lid. The pack also has shoulder straps disposed at the rear wall and a pair of elongated channels on the rear wall. The pack removably couples to the frame system by inserting a long leg of each of the L-shaped members into the respective elongated channel. When the pack is coupled to the frame, the base of the pack is supported on two short legs of the L-shaped members, the frame system is on an exterior of the pack, and the attachment bar can removably couple to either end of the two L-shaped members. An insert is sized and shaped to be removably inserted within an interior volume of the pack.
ATTACHABLE PORTABLE PROTECTIVE CONTAINERS
Apparatus for protecting sensitive equipment from impact, dust, dirt, moisture, smoke, and flame comprised of a container that attaches to load bearing equipment used by military, law enforcement and related professions. Apparatus for an attachable protective case capable isolating sensitive equipment from electromagnetic radiation. The apparatus can include an attachment component pivotably associated with the container. A distal end of the attachment component can include a locking feature releasably engageable with a corresponding locking feature disposed on a portion of the container such that the attachment component captures a portion of material of a separate device between the attachment component and the container.
COMBINED BACKPACK AND BODY ARMOR CARRIER
Implementations of a backpack that can be converted into a protective vest are provided. In a first configuration, the backpack may be used to store and transport items. When confronted with an imminent threat (e.g., an active shooter), the backpack can be converted to a second configuration that serves as a protective vest configured to provide ballistic protection for the wearer's chest and back (i.e., body armor). The backpack does not need to be removed from the wearer's torso when being converted to the protective vest configuration. The protective vest contains at least one ballistic armor insert in both the front and rear panel sections thereof. The backpack includes a container that is detachable therefrom. This detachable container may include an internal pocket that contains at least one ballistic armor insert and enarme that allow the detachable container to be used as a shield.
BALLISTIC SHIELD APPARATUS
A ballistic shield apparatus for stopping bullets to protect a user includes a fibrous panel which comprises a plurality of sheets layered with each other. Each sheet of the plurality of sheets comprises a plurality of ductile fibers, each of which is configured to plastically deform to slow a bullet when the bullet impacts the ductile fiber. Each ductile fiber of the plurality of ductile fibers comprises an aramid material. A cover surrounds the plurality of panels and conforms to an exterior of the panel. The cover comprises a water impermeable and ultraviolet light impermeable material. The cover has a size such that the cover is configured to be positioned in the child's backpack.

ADJUSTABLE POUCH WITH LACE TIGHTENING MECHANISM HAVING ENCLOSED PROTECTED LACES
An adjustable pouch or pocket for carrying an article such as one or more ammunition magazines, armor plates, batteries, radios, grenades, bottles, and the like in hostile environments, integrates a lace tightening system for adjusting the pouch size, fit, and/or tightness about the article or articles, wherein a lace or laces of the tightening system are largely or substantially incorporated into an arrangement of one or more enclosed cavities or pockets within or between certain of the panels so as to be protected from exposure and potential damage while still allowing free movement of the lace or laces, and which largely isolates the laces from the carried article or articles so as not to catch or snag the article when being inserted or removed from the pouch.
