A portable lumbar cushion support attachment for backpacks for providing support to the lower spine and surrounding para-lumbar musculature of the wearer. The present invention is for a memory foam cushion which adjustably supports the lower spine in a proper position, alleviating lower back pain caused by improper posture and fatigue and also preventing further instances of lower back pain. In one embodiment, side straps are attached onto the bottom triangular strap regions of the backpack. The cushion is hemi-elliptical design which is positioned horizontally in the lower back region such that the cushion supports the spine and the surrounding musculature and the L1-L5 vertebrae. The cushion extends outwards, pushing against the lumbar spine, causing pressure to be created against the backpack and into the lower back, thus alleviating back pain and maintaining the lower back in its natural straight position.

Backpack support system for hands-free transport of a bike on the wearer's back

A backpack support system has a frame, which is equipped with shoulder straps and preferably also a waist belt and which preferably inherently rigid so hat the loads that occur during use, the frame only flexes by inevitable amounts in the millimeter range by which any rigid body flexes when subjected to a load. A bike mount is fastened to the frame. The bike mount is embodied so that the bike, almost exclusively by its frame or frame components such as the rear fork can be fastened directly to the frame, i.e. without luggage or a pack compartment being situated between the bike and the frame in the points at which the bike rests directly against the frame. When properly fastened, the bike is thus affixed to the frame so that it cannot move.

Back support frame attachment system for a backpack

A back support frame attachment system for a container, such as a backpack. A back support frame has a slot at its bottom end. A back portion of a container has a sleeve at its top end and a strap at its bottom end. The top end of the back support frame is insertable into the sleeve at the top end of the back portion and the strap is positionable through the slot in the bottom end of the back support frame. A first portion of the strap has hook material and a second portion of the strap has loop material, or vice versa. A folded middle portion of the strap is insertable through the slot at the bottom end of the back support frame such that the hook material can be attached to the loop material. The strap is operable to disconnect the bottom end of the back support frame from the bottom end of the back portion when a free end of the strap is pulled.
