This invention relates to a posture support (1) comprising a wedge-shaped body (3,51,131) constructed from a resiliently deformable material and means to releasably secure the wedge-shaped body to a backpack (151). The invention further relates to a backpack (151) in combination with the detachable posture support (1). The posture support (1) according to the invention may be quickly attached or detached from a backpack (151). In this way, when the posture support (1) is mounted on the backpack (151), the posture support (1) can alleviate the pressure on the spine and intervertebral discs caused by carrying the heavy backpack (1). When the posture support (1) if taken off the backpack (151), the posture support (1) may be used as a sitting posture support to alleviate the pressure on the spine caused by sitting on a flat surface. The posture support (1) is relatively inexpensive and can be produced at a fraction of the cost of many other posture supports.

This invention relates to a multiple use convertible backpack, in particular the backpack has an outer shell which is integrated with a convertible dual-sided fabric liner which may be utilized as a sleeping bag, blanket, cushion, or pillow. The backpack may be used to store additional items when the convertible dual-sided fabric liner is stowed inside the backpack. With the backpack remaining attached to the convertible dual-sided fabric liner when removed from the backpack, the outer shell may be used as a hood, or as an extension of the sleeping bag, blanket, or cushion into which the user's feet may extend or be placed. Alternatively, the outer shell may serve as a bag, attached to the dual-sided fabric liner, into which additional materials, items, or personal belongings may be placed, while the convertible dual-sided fabric liner is removed from the backpack.

A backpack is manipulable between a first configuration facilitating carrying by a user and a second configuration serving as a chair. The backpack comprises first and second sections, each defining a first and second surfaces and each including a pair of inwardly foldable wings. A web of fabric material flexibly couples the first section to the second section so that the two sections can be manipulated between the aforementioned configurations. A closure mechanism retains the first surface of the first section and the first surface of the second section in facing relation, following inward folding of the first and second pairs of wings and manipulation of the backpack into the first configuration, but is releasable to facilitate manipulation of the first section relative to the second section to thereby obtain a desired angle of recline therebetween.

A combined satchel and travel pillow includes a front and rear panel that comprise at least one foam or gel cushion, and forms a pocket with an interior therein with an opening to removably receive a sealable packet therein, the sealable packet which can removably store items, e.g., personal items. The pocket includes sets of complementary fasteners to secure the pocket in one or more folded configurations. The cushions can include countered and, or textures surfaces. The cushions can include one or more fabric or material covers over all or a portion of the cushion. The front and rear panels can be formed by respective individual cushions, or by a single cushion with one or more fold lines delimiting the front panel from the rear panel.

A combined foldable chair and backpack that is movable between and open configuration for a user to sit thereon, and a folded configuration for a user to carry, is provided. A portable backpack and blind system comprising a backpack configuration and a blind configuration, the portable backpack and blind system comprising a backpack and a blind assembly, the blind assembly comprising a rotating chair and a camouflage shroud for concealing a user seated on the chair and the blind assembly being convertible between a disassembled, compact configuration and an assembled, extended configuration, wherein, in the backpack configuration, the backpack is configured for encasing and storing therein the blind assembly in the disassembled, compact configuration, and wherein, in the blind configuration, the blind assembly is roughly cylindrical and sized to accommodate and conceal a single user in the assembled, extended configuration.

The invention relates to a pet bed configurable as any of a plurality of cushion types or a blanket. The pet bed may be folded a first way and secured in place with a first attachment device to form a cushion with a first surface type. The pet bed may be folded a second way and secured with a second and third attachment device to form a cushion with a second surface type. The pet bed may be unfolded to form a blanket. Additionally, the pet bed is constructed of fully washable materials so that the pet bed may be washed in a typical household washing machine.

A convertible backpack system and method for conversion between a backpack, to comfort pad, to poncho, to water collection device, to a blind, to a tent, to a hammock, to a seat, to a playpen or storage container, and to an office pack.

Apparatus and associated methods relate to a collapsible chair having a collapsible lateral support rod, a pair of front legs, a pair of front chair support rods, and a pair of mechanical junctions configured to couple with an associated pair of poles, such that the collapsible chair is adapted to collapse into an easy-to-carry volume. In an illustrative example, the mechanical junctions may be releasably and/or shock-cord-coupled to various support rods and/or legs. The mechanical junctions may include locking mechanisms to lock the associated poles into a fixed position relative to the mechanical junctions, for example. The collapsible chair may include gear loops for hanging of gear from the collapsible chair. In various embodiments, a collapsible chair may advantageously provide a full size, lightweight chair configured for compact storage in a stowage bag for high portability during outdoor hiking.
