Provided is a material that can be used as a potassium secondary battery positive electrode active material (particularly a potassium ion secondary battery positive electrode active material), other than Prussian blue, by using a potassium compound and a potassium ion secondary battery positive electrode active material comprising the potassium compound, the potassium compound being represented by general formula (1):
K.sub.nA.sub.kBO.sub.m,
wherein A is a positive divalent element in groups 7 to 11 of the periodic table; B is positive tetravalent silicon, germanium, titanium or manganese, excluding a case in which A is manganese and B is titanium, and a case in which A is cobalt and B is silicon; n is 1.5 to 2.5; and m is 3.5 to 4.5.

A titanium oxide powder of the present invention has a BET specific surface area of 5 m.sup.2/g or more and 15 m.sup.2/g or less and contains polyhedral-shaped titanium oxide particles having eight or more faces, in which a mass reduction rate in a case of being heated at 800 C. for 1 hour in an air atmosphere is 0.03% by mass or more and 0.5% by mass or less.

A method of synthesizing a zeolite comprising the steps of: a. preparing an admixture containing (i) at least one source of alumina, (ii) at least one source of silica, and (iii) at least one structure directing agent (SDA) in hydroxide form, wherein the admixture is essentially free of alkali metals, wherein the at least one structure directing agent (SDA) in hydroxide form is N,N-diethyl-2,6-dimethylpiperidinium; and b. heating the admixture under autogenous pressure at a temperature and with stirring or mixing for a sufficient time to crystalize hydrogen-form zeolite crystals having an AEI framework.

Mesoporous materials and processes for preparation thereof
A process for preparing a mesoporous material, e.g., transition metal oxide, sulfide, selenide or telluride, Lanthanide metal oxide, sulfide, selenide or telluride, a post-transition metal oxide, sulfide, selenide or telluride and metalloid oxide, sulfide, selenide or telluride. The process comprises providing an acidic mixture comprising a metal precursor, an interface modifier, a hydrotropic or lyotropic ion precursor, and a surfactant; and heating the acidic mixture at a temperature and for a period of time sufficient to form the mesoporous material. A mesoporous material prepared by the above process. A method of controlling nano-sized wall crystallinity and mesoporosity in mesoporous materials. The method comprises providing an acidic mixture comprising a metal precursor, an interface modifier, a hydrotropic or lyotropic ion precursor, and a surfactant; and heating the acidic mixture at a temperature and for a period of time sufficient to control nano-sized wall crystallinity and mesoporosity in the mesoporous material. LOW-SILICA CHABAZITE ZEOLITES WITH HIGH ACIDITY
A microporous crystalline material having a molar silica to alumina ratio (SAR) ranging from 10 to 15 and a fraction of Al in the zeolite framework of 0.63 or greater is disclosed. A method of selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides in exhaust gas that comprises contacting exhaust gases, typically in the presence of ammonia, urea, an ammonia generating compound, or a hydrocarbon compound, with an article comprising the disclosed microporous crystalline is also disclosed. Further, a method of making the disclosed microporous crystalline material is disclosed.
