Ultraviolet irradiation of fluids

Ultraviolet irradiation of liquids for purposes of sterilization, disinfection, cleaning and/or treatment. A liquid collection reservoir can receive an inflow of a liquid. A filtering unit can filter the inflow of liquid received by the liquid collection reservoir. A liquid chamber stores the liquid. Ultraviolet light emitting sources located about the liquid chamber irradiate the liquid in the liquid chamber with ultraviolet light. A control unit, operatively coupled to the ultraviolet light emitting sources, controls the irradiation of the liquid in the liquid chamber with the ultraviolet light emitting sources. The control unit is configured to control an intensity and a duration of the irradiation as a function of time that the liquid is stored in the liquid chamber and the amount of the liquid that is in the liquid chamber.

A filter for a water purifier includes a filter housing that defines an inlet and an outlet, and a filter module disposed inside the filter housing and configured to purify water received through the inlet and supply purified water to the outlet. The filter module includes a carbon block that includes a mixture of: activated carbon having a weight corresponding to 40 to 50% of a weight of the mixture, a binder having a weight corresponding to 5 to 15% of the weight of the mixture, iron hydroxide having a weight corresponding to 10 to 20% of the weight of the mixture, and titanium oxide having a weight corresponding to 30 to 40% of the weight of the mixture.

SHOWER AND FILTER ASSEMBLY

A shower assembly comprising a shower head; and a manifold configured to removably receive a water filter assembly; wherein the manifold comprises a bore having an outward-facing open end to receive the water filter assembly, wherein the manifold is downstream of and in fluid communication with a water source, and is upstream of and in fluid communication with the shower head.

Filter cartridge for a whole house water filtering system

A filter cartridge for a whole house water filter includes a cylindrical, or tubular, filter media coupled to a mixer tank with improved high flow mixing features. The mixer tank includes a bowl in which a flow diverter, a flow guide with angled fins and a filter media are provided. The flow diverter has a concave portion, i.e., a mushroom-shaped portion, the interior of which is in fluid connection with a central passage through which filtered water flows. In operation, the filtered water flows through the central passage and is deflected by the concave interior of the flow diverter down through the angled fins of the flow guide. The filtered water then passes out through an outlet. The mixer tank stirs the filter media and water mix to increase the kinetics of the mixing process.

Filter assembly for water purifier

A filter assembly includes a filter holder into which a part of the filter is insertable, and a lock mounted to the filter holder and configured to lock and release the filter to and from the filter holder. The lock includes a guide coupled to the filter holder and configured to be linearly movable to transmit a force in a direction into which the filter is inserted, a pusher configured to transmit a force in a direction opposite to the direction, into which the filter is inserted, by an elastic member, a stopper rotatably received in the pusher to be arranged between the pusher and the guide, and configured to linearly move the filter holder by being linearly moved by the guide and the pusher, and a cam configured to lock and release the filter to and from the filter holder by guiding rotation and linear movement of the stopper.

Water treatment system

A water treatment system having a base assembly and a treatment assembly. The treatment assembly of the system may be configured to filter particulates from water. The base assembly may include a UV reactor operable to disinfect water for consumption.

Water pitcher with float and underside filter

A water filter system with a filter housing, a filter media, a filter coupling, and a dynamic seal. The filter housing has a top plate and a bottom plate which are both water-permeable, as well as a cavity between the top plate and the bottom plate. The filter media is within the cavity of the filter housing and extends through the bottom plate of the filter housing. The filter coupling extends upward from the top plate and is configured to attach to a float with at least one air chamber. The dynamic seal is coupled to the filter housing along a perimeter of the filter housing and is configured to extend beyond a perimeter of the float, maintain contact with a wall of a water container, and restrict water from passing between the dynamic seal and the wall of the water container.
