One embodiment of a garment convertible to shoulder bag of the type comprising two separating zippers extending in an open fashion vertically along each side of the garment such as to form the bag compartment when the garment is folded and zipped at the sides. The garment further comprising an upper back panel (48) connected to the garment at the back neckline (42), shoulders (12) and back armholes (44). A stitch is applied horizontally through the upper back panel (48) and the garment upper back (52) and through a set of D-rings (66) and a reinforcement strap (68) positioned in between. The horizontal back panel stitch (46) allows for the formation of a straight bag opening edge (76) when the panel is flipped over the neckline towards the garment's front. A removable bag strap (32) is housed within loops on the inside of the garment and the garment's hem is elongated such as to form the bag closing flap (80).

Aspects herein are directed to a stowable garment system that allows for quick deployment and donning of an upper-body garment that is stowed within a pouch located on the front of a belt structure configured to encircle the waist of a wearer. The garment comprises at least a front section and a back section, where a portion of the front section is attached to the pouch. The garment further comprises a first tab extending from a bottom margin at a first side of the back section and a second tab extending from the bottom margin at a second opposite side of the back section. When stowed within the pouch, the tabs extend through one or more openings in the pouch. The wearer may exert tension on the tabs to actuate a quick-release mechanism causing the pouch to open, and enabling the garment to be deployed and donned.

A backpack system includes a main body having a plurality of sides that define an interior space. The main body is constructed from a watertight and transparent material or a ballistic resistant material, and includes a disposable face mask pocket along one side. A first shoulder strap includes a pocket for storing and dispensing moist sanitizing wipes, and a second shoulder strap includes a pocket for storing a bottle of sanitizing solution having a pump-style dispenser. At least one light and a camera system is disposed along the main body. The camera system includes a digital camera, a speaker and a microphone. A system controller includes a location tracking module and a wireless communication unit. A mobile application communicates with the communication unit to receive audiovisual information and performs two way voice and video communications. A ballistic resistant hood and cape are secured on the backpack body.

A backpack system includes a main body having a plurality of sides that define an interior space. Disclosed are embodiments of a multi-use article that can function as a jacket, carrying bag, blanket and/or pillow. In one embodiment, a multi-use article includes a first portion (torso cover) and a second portion (leg cover) releasably coupled by a fastener. The leg cover can include another fastener along axial edges of the leg cover to releasably couple its axial edges and form an enclosure. The leg cover can include a third fastener along a distal edge of the leg cover to provide the bottom of a bag when the third fastener is closed. When released from the leg cover, the torso cover can be used as a jacket, for example. When released from the torso cover, the leg cover can be configured as a blanket, carrying bag, and/or pillow (or pillow case). The torso cover can be inserted into a suitably configured leg cover to form a pillow.

Disclosed are embodiments of a multi-use article that can function as a jacket, carrying bag, blanket and/or pillow. In one embodiment, a multi-use article includes a first portion (torso cover) and a second portion (leg cover) releasably coupled by a fastener. The leg cover can include another fastener along axial edges of the leg cover to releasably couple its axial edges and form an enclosure. Aspects herein are directed to a stowable garment system that allows for quick deployment and donning of an upper-body garment that is stowed within a pouch located on the front of a belt structure configured to encircle the waist of a wearer. The garment comprises at least a front section and a back section, where a portion of the front section is attached to the pouch. The garment further comprises a first tab extending from a bottom margin at a first side of the back section and a second tab extending from the bottom margin at a second opposite side of the back section. When stowed within the pouch, the tabs extend through one or more openings in the pouch. Aspects herein are directed to an upper-body garment that can be converted into a backpack. The upper-body garment comprises a pouch structure located on an outer-facing surface of a back aspect of the garment. The upper-body garment further includes first and second closure mechanisms positioned on the outer-facing surface of the back aspect of the garment. To convert the upper-body garment into the backpack, the sleeves are folded inward, and the back aspect of the garment is folded toward the front of the garment so as to align the first and second closure mechanisms. The closure mechanisms can be releasably mated to each other to form the backpack and to enclose the upper-body garment within the backpack.

Aspects herein are directed to an upper-body garment that can be converted into a backpack. The upper-body garment comprises a pouch structure located on an outer-facing surface of a back aspect of the garment. The upper-body garment further includes first and second closure mechanisms positioned on the outer-facing surface of the back aspect of the garment. To convert the upper-body garment into the backpack, the sleeves are folded inward, and the back aspect of the garment is folded toward the front of the garment so as to align the first and second closure mechanisms. The closure mechanisms can be releasably mated to each other to form the backpack and to enclose the upper-body garment within the backpack.

A garment is provided including a back panel joined with a bag panel, and a closure strap. The back panel and bag panel can be used in a wearing mode while the garment is worn, then turned inside out into a stowed mode, when the garment is to be stowed, to form a stowage bag within which the garment can be stuffed, with the closure strap movable to a closing configuration to at least partially close an opening of the stowage bag and secure the garment inside the stowage bag. Related methods of use are also provided.
