A method for cleanup of circulated rolling oil including gravity separation followed by size separation. The method includes supplying the circulated roiling oil to a separation chamber of a rotating centrifugal rotor and separating water and solid debris from the circulated rolling oil by centrifugal force. Oil, oil-water emulsion, and some residual debris may be recovered and supplied to a ceramic membrane having a pore size of 1.5 micron or smaller. A purified oil sample is recovered from the membrane, along with a reject including the oil-water emulsion and residual debris. The reject may be further concentrated by gravity separation and recycled to the membrane to recover further amounts of oil.

CONTAMINANT-SEQUESTERING COATINGS AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME

Contaminant-sequestering coatings include a network of hydrolyzed silane compounds including (i) a plurality of fluorinated functionalities, and (ii) a plurality of thiol functional groups are provided. The network of hydrolyzed silane compounds includes a fluorinated silane including (a) a hydrophilic polar head region. The polar head region includes one or multiple units of ethylene glycol (EG) functionality, (b) a fluorine-containing region, and (c) an anchor region including a silicon atom. The contaminant-sequestering coatings may sequester one or more per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), heavy metals, biological species, or any combination thereof.

The water polishing system includes a source of ultrapure water (UPW), an ultrafiltration (UF) module having an inlet and a permeate outlet, a recirculation conduit communicating the permeate outlet with the inlet and forming a recirculation loop, a recirculation pump disposed along the recirculation conduit upstream from the inlet of the UF module and fluidly coupled to the source of UPW, a supply conduit fluidly coupled to the recirculating conduit and a demand source, the supply conduit positioned downstream from the permeate outlet, and a pressure control valve disposed along the recirculation conduit downstream from the supply conduit and configured to maintain pressure of permeate at a predetermined value.

The present disclosure relates to a bacterium-alga coupled sewage treatment device based on energy recycling and a use method thereof. The device comprises a pretreatment device, a photobioreactor, an alga separation apparatus, a continuous flow bioreactor and a secondary sedimentation tank which are sequentially connected in order, the pretreatment device being connected to a municipal sewage inlet pipe, the photobioreactor being connected to a carbon dioxide gas charging device through a gas filling pipeline, one part of a sludge thickening tank being connected to the secondary sedimentation tank, the other part thereof being connected to remaining sludge of the pretreatment device, carbon dioxide generated from the sludge which flows through the thickening tank and is thermally-hydrolyzed and anaerobically-acidified being connected to the photobioreactor through a gas inlet pipeline, and the alga separation apparatus being further connected to a filter press. The present disclosure has the advantages of a rational structural design, reliable and stable operation, a low operation and maintenance cost and high automaticity and intelligence, and being suitable for the use and transformation requirements of a wide range of sewage treatment plants, etc.
