Apparatus for killing and preventing growth of algae and bacteria in the piping, filtering and pumping components of watermaker systems during periods of non-use
An algae and bacteria contamination preventing apparatus and subsystem including a conduit forming a flush-water flow path between a potable water supply and a connection to a feed water entry port of a watermaker system. A check-valve and flush-water connector is installed in the feed water entry conduit. The flush-water flow path includes a valve means for opening and closing the flow path, a filter/ion-generator component a controller for sensing flush-water flow in the flow path, and in response thereto, applying electrical power to an ion-generating element of the filter/ion-generator component. The filter/ion-generator component also includes a filter element which removes undesirable chemicals from the potable flush-water before the ion-generating element introduces copper and/or silver ions into the flush-water. The valve means may be manually operated or be controlled by a watermaker system shut down controller.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CREATING LARGE VOLUMES OF HIGHLY CONCENTRATED PLASMA ACTIVATED LIQUID USING COLD PLASMA
Exemplary embodiments of systems for generating large volumes of plasma activated liquids are disclosed herein. An exemplary system for creating a large volume of plasma-activated liquid includes a gas pump that moves a gas and liquid entrained in the gas, one or more plasma generators for generating plasma to activate at least one of the gas and the liquid entrained in the gas, a supply of liquid to be activated, a liquid aerator for creating an aerated liquid to be entrained in the gas, an activation chamber for activating the aerated liquid by contacting at least one of the aerated liquid or aerated liquid entrained in gas with plasma or plasma activated gas to form an activated liquid gas mixture. The exemplary system also includes a liquid gas separator positioned downstream of the activation chamber. The liquid gas separator separates at least a portion of the activated liquid gas mixture into an activated liquid and the gas. The activated liquid flows out of a first portion of the liquid gas separator and the gas flows out of a second portion of the liquid gas separator.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REDUCTION OF TOTAL ORGANIC COMPOUNDS IN WASTEWATER
A system for purifying wastewater comprising the reduction of total organic compounds in wastewater is disclosed. Chemical reducing agents are brought into contact with polluted water and through dynamically stable anode induced electro-coagulation and flotation removing natural organic material and biorefractory pollutants, decreasing competing organic matter for a secondary oxidizing step, where acids oxidize the processed wastewater through series of reactor tubes for the reduction of total organic compounds.
Floating pool water controler
Disclosed herein is a floating pool water controller for dispensing germicide and antimicrobial material into a swimming pool based upon real time pool conditions. The controller includes the ability to adjust to these ever changing conditions in real time, and, to do so remotely. The controller includes a housing adapted for floating on the pool water. Additionally, a dispenser is provided for dispensing Cu ion into the pool and includes a dispenser assembly connected to the housing. The controller is provided with a controller for adjusting the amount of Cu ion dispensed into the pool water. And, the controller includes a probe extending from the housing into the pool water for sensing pool conditions. Thus, upon sensing the pool conditions in real time, the controller can be adjusted to dispense the proper amount of Cu ion into the pool water.
Side-Stream Particle Precipitator Apparatus and Sustem for Condenser Open Loop Cooling System
A side-stream particle precipitator system for the breakdown and removal of organic and inorganic suspended solids in water cooling systems using a plurality of ionizer treatment units utilizing electric and electro-magnetic fields and a mechanical vortex precipitating system with a static mixer for increasing retention time of the water complex in the precipitator to remove particulate materials contained in the water complex as suspended solids. The system also uses high voltage electrodes for charging the water complex to breakdown laminar flow at the conduit walls to mechanically dislodge any build-up of bio-materials or chemical compounds along the walls resulting in an increase in thermal conductivity.
SIPHON TRAP DISINFECTION SYSTEM
A siphon trap disinfection unit consisting of a copper/silver electrode coated on inside body of the siphon parallel to each other along the siphon in the area which water normally stands. A water level sensor to generate resistance between two electrodes and an electric controller circuit to generate ions by applying voltage between two electrodes and controlling the amount of current passing through this control circuit to generate enough concentration of copper and silver ion continuously in the water standing area of the siphon trap to remove and deactivate harmful bacteria's in this area.
SYSTEM FOR ELECTRO-CHEMICALLY INHIBITING BIOLOGICAL GROWTH IN AIR TREATMENT UNITS
Systems and methods for inhibiting growth of fungi and other organisms in air treatment systems such as air conditioners, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, and air washers. A pair of electrodes are brought into contact with liquid collected by a collection subsystem of the air treatment system. One of the electrodes includes a bio-inhibiting conductor. Electrical current is caused to pass between the electrodes, causing the bio-inhibiting conductor to be released into the collected liquid.
Side-Stream Particle Precipitator Apparatus and System for Condenser Open Loop Cooling System
A side-stream particle precipitator system for the breakdown and removal of bio-materials and suspended solids in water cooling systems using a plurality of ionizer treatment units utilizing electric and electro-magnetic fields and a mechanical vortex precipitating system to remove particulate materials contained in the water complex as suspended solids. The system also uses high voltage electrodes for charging the water complex to breakdown laminar flow at the conduit walls to mechanically dislodge any build-up of bio-materials or chemical compounds along the walls resulting in an increase in thermal conductivity.
APATHOGENIC COATING OF AN OBJECT, OBJECT HAVING THE APATHOGENIC COATING AND METHOD FOR ARRANGING AN APATHOGENIC COATING ON AN OBJECT
An apathogenic (antimicrobial and/or antiviral) coating of an object surface of an object with at least one anode layer having at least one anode material and at least one cathode layer having at least one cathode material is provided, wherein the layers are designed such that a galvanic element is formed in the presence of moisture. Constituents of the pathogens are thus oxidatively destroyed. This inhibits the multiplication of pathogens on the object surface. Efficient disinfection of the object surface is possible. The aspect provided with the coating is in particular a medical implant, for example a stent.
Device for producing disinfectant solution, and methods therefor
A device for generating a disinfectant solution based on metal and water atoms, including at least one sealable enclosure, where at least one electrode is installed. The sealable enclosure further includes an inlet and an outlet. The device also includes an energy source that may be in contact with the fluid, or may be insulated from the fluid. Thus, the energy source may be made available inside the sealable enclosure or on the outside the sealable enclosure, or both. The device enables the rapid production of a disinfectant solution based on a mixture of fluid such as water and biocidal metal atoms such as silver atoms with increased antibacterial, virucidal and fungicidal properties.
