COOPERATIVE OPTIMAL CONTROL METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR WASTEWATER TREATMENT PROCESS
In a cooperative optimal control system, firstly, two-level models are established to capture the dynamic features of different time-scale performance indices. Secondly, a data-driven assisted model based cooperative optimization algorithm is developed to optimize the two-level models, so that the optimal set-points of dissolved oxygen and nitrate nitrogen can be acquired. Thirdly, a predictive control strategy is designed to trace the obtained optimal set-points of dissolved oxygen and nitrate nitrogen. This proposed cooperative optimal control system can effectively deal with the difficulties of formulating the dynamic features and acquiring the optimal set-points.

Planar ammonia selective sensing electrode and manufacturing method thereof
A planar ammonia selective sensing electrode for water quality monitoring and a manufacturing method of the sensing electrode are provided. The sensing electrode includes an insulating base plate, an electric-conductive layer, an ammonium ion sensing layer, a hydroxide ion sensing layer, and an electrolyte layer. The electric-conductive layer is disposed on the planar surface of the insulating base plate. The electric-conductive layer includes a first conductive part and a second conductive part. The first conductive part and the second conductive part are insulated and apart from each other, and configured to form a first reaction zone and a second reaction zone, respectively. The ammonium ion sensing layer is disposed on the first reaction zone. The hydroxide ion sensing layer is disposed on the second reaction zone. The electrolyte layer is disposed on and covers the ammonium ion sensing layer and the hydroxide ion sensing layer.
Treatment of produced water from unconventional sources of hydrocarbons
There is provided herein a system and method to effectively treat produced water. In some embodiments, produced water is treated by mixing produced water with an amine solvent and humic acid to form precipitates comprising magnesium, strontium, barium and radium hydroxides in a precipitator unit. Precipitates are then removed by a filter to produce de-scaled produced water. The amine solvent is recovered from the de-scaled produced water by a stripping unit.

Process and plant for separating off and/or recovering nitrogen compounds from a liquid or sludge substrate
The invention relates to a process for separating off and/or recovering nitrogen compounds, in particular for separating off ammonia and/or recovering or producing nitrogen fertilizer, from a liquid or sludge substrate, in which a liquid or sludge substrate is introduced into a degassing vessel to which subatmospheric pressure is applied and ammonia gas formed is introduced by means of a vacuum pump into at least one scrubber which is located downstream of the degassing vessel and to which subatmospheric pressure is applied and into which acid is introduced, wherein the acid or an ammonium salt-containing liquid obtained in the at least one scrubber is taken off from the at least one scrubber, cooled and subsequently sprayed back into the at least one scrubber. The invention further relates to a plant for carrying out such a process.
