Ornamental Chlorine Float Assembly
An ornamental chlorine float assembly for chlorinating a swimming pool includes a chlorine float that is floatable in a swimming pool. The chlorine float is structured to have a variety of pre-determined ornamental features to enhance visual appeal of the chlorine float when the chlorine float is floating in the swimming pool. A plurality of light emitters is each of the light emitters is coupled to the bottom side of the chlorine float to illuminate the water in the swimming pool. A plurality of speakers is each coupled to the top side of the chlorine float to emit sound outwardly therefrom.
Removal of selenocyanate from refinery sour water stripper wastewater
Systems and methods for removing heavy metals such as selenium from wastewater with zero valent iron media. Air may be introduced directly into a reaction zone of a fluidized bed reactor filled with the media to catalyze treatment.
Dispensing systems
A system for limiting the flow from a dispensing valve when a dispensing cartridge is replaced with the system including a dispenser cartridge with a cam and a water socket with a flow limiter therein that is activeable in response to the position of the dispenser cartridge in the dispensing valve and operable in response to an upstream fluid pressure in the dispensing valve.
Water treatment dispensing apparatus
A cartridge for use in a water purification apparatus and a water purification method for maintaining a water quality supply are provided. The cartridge comprises an elongated tubular body having first and second ends comprising a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet, and an internal chamber extending between the first and second end. The first end includes an end cap having a first opening in fluid communication with the body. A disinfectant material is disposed in the internal chamber of the body. Filters are disposed in the elongated tubular body adjacent to the first opening and adjacent the second end of the elongated tubular body and are in fluid communication with the internal chamber and the fluid outlet. The second end of the elongated tubular body comprising an exterior surface having a tapered portion and a linear portion adjacent to the tapered portion.
Swimming pool water monitoring device and method
There is described a water monitoring device for monitoring a body of water. The body of water comprises a main body of water and a water inlet and/or water outlet. The water monitoring device comprises a sensor operable to generate data in relation to a property of the body of water, an attachment member operable to removably arrange the device in a substantially stationary position adjacent to the water inlet and/or water outlet of the body of water; and a communication member operable to transmit the data relating to a property of the body of water to a remote device. Also described is a water monitoring apparatus and a method of monitoring a body of water.
Automated chlorinator, system including the same, methods of making and using the same, and software for implementing the method of using and controlling the chlorinator and system
A water treatment system, a water treatment monitoring and/or control system, and a method of monitoring and/or controlling treatment of water are disclosed. The water treatment system generally includes a water pump configured to supply water from a water source to an intake pipe, a chlorine source pump configured to supply a chlorine source from a storage vessel to a chlorine source feed line, a water flow and/or pressure switch configured to detect a positive water flow and/or pressure in the intake pipe, a chlorine flow monitor, and logic or circuitry configured to notify a user and optionally automatically disable or turn off the water pump when (1) the water flow and/or pressure switch detects the positive water flow and/or pressure in the intake pipe and (2) the chlorine source flow monitor detects either that (i) the chlorine source pump is not primed or (ii) there is no flow in the chlorine source feed line. The chlorine flow monitor is configured to determine (a) whether the chlorine source pump is primed or (ii) there is no flow of the chlorine source in the chlorine source feed line. The monitoring/control system and method generally embody one or more of the inventive concepts disclosed herein.
Cleaning water supply device
A cleaning water supply device includes an ultrapure water line through which ultrapure water flows by a fixed amount, a production unit that produces cleaning water by adding a solute to the ultrapure water line by a fixed amount, a cleaning water line for causing the cleaning water to flow, cleaning machines to which the cleaning water is supplied from the cleaning water line, a solute removal unit into which excess cleaning water is introduced from the cleaning water line, and a collecting line for returning collected water from which the solute is removed to a tank and the like.
MULTI-FUNCTION POOL SKIMMER WATER TREATMENT METHOD
A water treatment insert for a pool skimmer system includes a chemical treatment portion separated from a mechanical filtration portion. The treatment device includes an upper portion and a lower portion. The upper section can include a vertical wall or walls, which should be substantially watertight so that substantially all the water entering the pool skimmer flows through the upper portion, and then into the lower section. The entire device is preferably received in the filter basket receiving section of a conventional pool skimmer, in place of the conventional filter basket. One of the upper and lower sections provides mechanical filtration and the other chemical treatment, to enhance the water treatment function of the skimmer.
Apparatus controlling bathroom appliance lighting based on user identity
An apparatus comprises a light source array, a communication interface, and a controller. The light source array comprises one or more directional light sources. The communication interface is configured to receive user data from at least one appliance, the user data indicative of an identity of a user. The controller is configured to analyze the identity of the user and activate the one or more directional light sources in response to the identity of the user.
MODEL PREDICTIVE CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD USING NEURAL NETWORK TO CONTROL DISSOLVED OXYGEN AND PH IN SEAWATER
A system and method for model predictive control of a process for removing dissolved oxygen (DO) from seawater to produce treated seawater having less than a prescribed DO concentration and a prescribed pH is disclosed. The model predictive control system includes a machine learning (ML) module for calculating, based on the values of operational input parameters, a predicted DO concentration and a predicted pH of the treated seawater for a future point in time. An ML-based control module is configured to determine, based on the predicted DO concentration, predicted pH and the input parameters, settings for adjusting controllable operational input parameters that serve to change the DO concentration or pH of the treated seawater. The control system monitors DO and pH during operation to dynamically update the DO and pH predictions, and adaptively update system settings to produce treated seawater having less than the prescribed DO concentration and pH.
