Rheology modifying agents and methods of modifying the rheology of a slurry are disclosed, in addition to methods for the prevention of fouling. The slurry can be a lime slurry or a magnesium oxide slurry. The rheology modifying agent can be a low molecular weight anionic polymer, a high molecular weight polymer, a mixture of a low molecular weight anionic polymer and a high molecular weight polymer, a mixture of a high molecular weight polymer and a chelating agent, and a mixture of a chelating agent, a high molecular weight polymer, and a low molecular weight anionic polymer.
Phosphorus-free corrosion and scale inhibitor used in circulating cooling water of central air conditioning and its preparation method
A phosphorus-free corrosion and scale inhibitor used in circulating cooling water of central air conditioning is provided, which contains tourmaline, green corrosion and scale inhibitor, zinc salt and the like, wherein the content of the tourmaline is 5-500 g/t (calculated based on solid form); the content of the green corrosion and scale inhibitor is 5-50 g/t (calculated based on liquid form); and the content of the zinc salt is 0.2-0.8 g/t (calculated based on solid form), wherein the tourmaline includes dravite, schorlite, elbaite, manganese tourmaline, uvite or the like. The green corrosion and scale inhibitor contains any one, or two or three of polyaspartic acid, polyepoxysuccinic acid and polymaleic acid. Copper corrosion can be effectively inhibited by adding 0.2-2 g/t of benzotriazole (calculated based on solid form) into copper-containing devices. Also disclosed is a method of preparing the phosphorous-free corrosion and scale inhibitor used in circulating cooling water of central air conditioning.

A terpolymerized corrosion and scale inhibitor used in circulating cooling water of central air conditioning, containing tourmaline, polyaspartic acid, polyepoxysuccinic acid, polymaleic acid, etidronic acid, zinc salt, and the like, wherein the content of the tourmaline is 5-500 g/t (calculated based on solid form); the content of polyaspartic acid, polyepoxysuccinic acid, polymaleic acid and etidronic acid is 2-60 g/t (calculated based on liquid form); and the content of the zinc salt is 0.2-0.8 g/t (calculated based on solid form), is provided. Also disclosed is a method of preparing the terpolymerized corrosion and scale inhibitor used in circulating cooling water of central air conditioning.

A water-dissolvable bag is located within the filter system. The bag contains chemical salts configured for treating said water. The bag is also configured for dissolving within said water, so as to release the chemical salts into said water.

A water savings system and method for reducing the amount of water needed for adiabatic cooling including the use of a softener and a reverse osmosis device, in which tap water, softened if necessary, is delivered to a reverse osmosis device and softened water alone, reverse osmosis reject water, or softened water combined with reverse osmosis reject water is delivered to spray nozzles for cooling, and reverse osmosis pure water is stored and used periodically to flush the coils to inhibit and/or prevent corrosion from dissolved salts and other solids in the spray water.

The present invention discloses a descaling formulation consisting of dealkalizer, surfactant and corrosion inhibitor and use of the said descaling formulation to dissolve and clean scales formed on the surfaces of industrial water systems. The said dealkalizer is selected from a mineral acid, an organic acid or combination of them. The said surfactant is selected from a polymer surfactant, a zwitter ionic surfactant or non-ionic surfactant or combination of them. The said corrosion inhibitor is a quaternary ammonium salt or a Polyethylene glycol alkyl ether.

A scale inhibiting agent having silicon dioxide (SiO.sub.2) and sodium oxide (Na.sub.2O) as main components is put into each of a circulation flow channel in a hot water circulation system and a circulation flow channel in a cooling water circulation system. The water treatment system includes: an aluminate ion addition part for adding an aluminate ion additive to water to be treated containing at least salt content and silica; a first precipitation part provided on the downstream side of the aluminate ion addition part; a first pH adjustment part provided on the downstream side of the first precipitation part; a first solid/liquid separation part for separating the solid content in the water to be treated; a second pH adjustment part for adjusting the pH of the water to be treated from the first solid/liquid separation part to a second pH level; and a first separation membrane (desalination treatment) apparatus provided on the downstream side of the second pH adjustment part so as to separate the water to be treated into first permeated water and first non-permeated water by removing the salt content in the water to be treated.
