The invention relates to an extrude unit for a dryer (2) for biomass, in particular slurry, wherein the extruder unit (1) has a surface section (4) for the biomass to pass through and a plurality of apertures (3), wherein the extruder unit (1) comprises a base support (5) which is connected by means of a connecting section (6) to a driving element (7) and can be driven by means of the driving element (7) about an axis of rotation (8) and relative to the surface section (4), wherein the base support (5) comprises at least one support arm (9) having at least one scraper blade (10) which during a rotation of the base support (5) follows the shape of the face of the surface section (4) facing the scraper blade (10). According to the invention the base support (5) also comprises at least one breaker element (11) having at least one scraper blade (10) which during a rotation of the base support (5) also follows the shape of the face of the surface section (4) facing the scraper blade (10) and during the rotation of the base support (5) effects a crushing of constituents contained in the biomass which are retained by the surface section (4). The invention further relates to a dryer having at least one corresponding extruder unit.

A device (1) for drying and sanitising organic waste materials, comprising a container body (10) for housing the waste materials to be dried and provided with an inlet (16) for the materials to be dried and an outlet (17) for the dried materials, mixing elements (20) located in the container body (10) and provided with at least a blade (21) able to mix the materials to be dried and sanitised, projectingly supported by a rotating shaft (23), a ventilation circuit (30) able to generate a forced ventilation of air internally of the container body (10), and comprising generator means (33) of an air flow located externally of the container body (10) communicating with at least a dispenser nozzle (34) located internally of the container body (10), in which the at least a dispenser nozzle (34) is associated to the at least a blade (21) able to mix the waste materials located in the container body (10) wherein it comprises at least a temperature sensor (42) configured such as to measure a temperature internally of the container body (10) and in that it comprises a control system which receives a signal from the at least a temperature sensor (42) and is able to control the air flow injected into the container body (10) by the ventilation circuit (30) as a function of the signal received from the temperature sensor (42).
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR THE TREATMENT OF ORGANIC MATTER, INVOLVING RECIRCULATION OF DIGESTED SLUDGE
The present invention relates to a method for the treatment of organic matter, in particular sewage sludge, where the organic matter is first fed to a disintegration system. The organic matter is then subjected to thermal hydrolysis in the disintegration system to form disintegrated matter. The disintegrated matter is fed to a digester in which the disintegrated matter is at least partially digested such that digested sludge is formed, where at least part of the digested sludge obtained is recirculated via a recirculation line to a point upstream of the disintegration system. The invention further relates to a device for the treatment of organic matter, in particular sewage sludge, comprising a disintegration system, a digester downstream thereof, and a recirculation line for at least partially digested disintegrated matter, said recirculation line extending from a point downstream of the digester to a point upstream of the thermal disintegration system.
Nutrient recovery process
An apparatus for recovering nutrients or water from digestate comprises one or more solid-liquid separation units, an ammonia stripping device, and a gas scrubbing unit. In a process, digestate is separated into a solids portion and a liquid portion. Ammonia is stripped from the liquid portion and converted into an ammonium salt solution which may be sold or used as, or blended with, a fertilizer product. Optionally, at least part of the remaining liquid portion may be concentrated to produce brine. The brine is mixed with the solids portion. The mixture may be dried and used as, or blended with, a fertilizer product. Optionally, a least part of the remaining liquid portion may be re-used as dilution water in a digester. A solids portion of the digestate, and one or both of an ammonium salt solution and a brine, may be used as fertilizer without thermal drying.
FEEDING DEVICE OF A BELT DRYING INSTALLATION AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A FEEDING DEVICE
A feeding device is provided for a belt drying installation for dump or sewage sludge material dewatered down to a pasty consistency. In the conveying path of the sludge material, a first roller having transverse grooves that are set back relative to the outer diameter of the roller and a guide device are arranged relative to the outer diameter of the first roller such that when the roller is rotated the sludge material is drawn into the transverse grooves and is shaped to elongated extrudates. The first roller is associated with a comb which has teeth that rigidly engage the transverse grooves and which sweeps the extrudates from the transverse grooves, wherein the tips of the teeth which rigidly engage the transverse grooves define a line of engagement. The tooth tips which rigidly engage the transverse grooves are beveled towards the tooth neck.
