Electrocatalytic fenton oxidation-electrochemical oxidation coupling process and apparatus for efficient treatment of chemical wastewater
The present invention discloses an electrocatalytic Fenton oxidation-electrochemical oxidation coupling process and apparatus for efficient treatment of chemical wastewater, and belongs to the field of sewage treatment. The process includes an electrocatalytic Fenton oxidation step, an electrochemical oxidation step, and a pH adjustment step. A spacing between a cathode and an anode in the electrocatalytic Fenton oxidation step is controlled, so that oxygen produced at the anode reacts at the cathode to produce H.sub.2O.sub.2. The treatment requirements can be met without external aeration or external addition of H.sub.2O.sub.2, and meanwhile, the efficiency of COD removal by electro-Fenton oxidation is effectively improved. Further, by connecting a pH adjusting tank with the electrocatalytic Fenton oxidation-electrochemical oxidation coupling apparatus in series, a coupling treatment process with near-zero production of iron sludge is realized.
HYDROGEN PEROXIDE PRODUCTION DEVICE AND USE THEREOF
A gas diffusion electrode includes a carbon fiber tube, a support layer, and a catalyst layer. The carbon fiber tube is straight and functions as a substrate. The support layer includes a carbon black-polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) coating, and is disposed on the substrate. The catalyst layer includes carbon black, anhydrous ethanol, and PTFE, and is disposed on the support layer. The gas diffusion electrode has a diameter of 3-20 mm and a length of 50-500 mm.
METHOD FOR PREPARING ACTIVATED CARBON
The invention provides methods for preparing activated carbon and biochar from a composition that comprises agricultural waste and that optionally comprises plastic. The invention also provides activated carbon and biochar having unique properties.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SEPARATING SOLVENT FROM A FLUID
An electrochemical system has a first reservoir receiving a feed stream. The feed stream includes a solvent and a solute different than the salt. A second reservoir receives a brine stream with a higher salt concentration higher than the feed stream. Electrodes contact a loop of redox- active electrolyte material causing reversible redox reactions. The reactions cause the loop to accept a first ion from the salt in the first reservoir and drive a second ion into the brine stream in the second reservoir. Three ionic exchange membranes of alternating type define the first and second reservoirs. A concentrate stream is output from the first reservoir, the concentrate stream having a second solute concentration greater than the first solute concentration.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR LYSING A LIQUID SAMPLE WITH AUGMENTED OXIDIZING AGENTS TO CREATE A SOLUTION WITH A REDUCED MICROBIAL CONCENTRATION AND PRECIPITATE FORMATION
A method for differentially lysing a liquid sample or target material using an augmented oxidizing agent (AOA), which includes a quantity of electronically modified oxygen derivatives (EMODs). The method reduces or eliminates total dissolved solids (TDS), total suspended solids (TSS), Biologic Oxygen Demand (BOD), microbial concentration, biofilms and other content in the liquid target material known or suspected to contain animal fluids, blood and blood cells and suspected or known to contain eukaryotic cells, microbial cells, bacteria, viruses, spores, fungi, prions, organic matter, minerals, proteins or associated structures. The BOD, TDS and TSS can be lowered or eliminated as desired. This action is directly proportional to the quantity of EMODs in the AOS applied to the liquid target material.
Method for processing of sewage sludge using pyrolysis to eliminate PFAS and other undesirable materials
A system and method for processing sewage sludge using pyrolysis to eliminate and/or significantly reduce organic chemical compounds, including plastics, and to produce a biochar product that is safe for beneficial uses is provided. The system and method can utilize pyrolysis to treat sewage sludge which dramatically reduces or eliminates regulated and unregulated synthetic organic chemical compounds in the resultant biochar.
