In an embodiment a method for treatment wastewater includes exposing the wastewater to an alternating electromagnetic field in order to remove a content substance from the wastewater and selecting a resonance frequency or a frequency in proximity to the resonance frequency for splitting up and for flocculating the content substance or pails of the content substance.

System and method for processing of sewage sludge using pyrolysis to eliminate PFAS and other undesirable materials

A system and method for processing sewage sludge using pyrolysis to eliminate and/or significantly reduce organic chemical compounds, including plastics, and to produce a biochar product that is safe for beneficial uses is provided. The system and method can utilize pyrolysis to treat sewage sludge which dramatically reduces or eliminates regulated and unregulated synthetic organic chemical compounds in the resultant biochar.

System and method for treatment of spent caustic wastewater

The present disclosure relates to a process for treating and regenerating a spent caustic solution at ambient temperatures and pressure which includes oxidizing spent caustic wastewater with a brine solution and ozone mixture, supported by irradiation of the spent caustic wastewater by ultrasound. A range of wastewater treatment techniques may also be included to reach a desired effluent quality level.

Thermal management system with sublimator and adsorbent bed

A thermal management system includes a space structure, a feed water container, a water feed line, a pump, and a filter device. The space structure includes a heat source connected with a fluid loop for conveying a working fluid through the heat source to regulate temperature and a sublimator connected with the fluid loop to receive the working fluid. The sublimator has a porous surface. The water feed line is connected with the container and the sublimator. The pump is located in the feed water line and is operable to move the feed water from the container to the sublimator. The sublimator is operable to cool the working fluid using the porous surface. The filter device is located in the water feed line between the pump and the feed water container. The filter device includes an adsorbent bed to remove organic compounds.

COMPOSITION FOR THE PREVENTION AND ELIMINATION OF ODORS
20210275704 · 2021-09-09 · ·

Articles can be provided with odor resistance by applying a dispersion of a halogenated heterocyclic N-halamine in an inert liquid carrier onto the surface of the article and allowing the inert liquid carrier to penetrate into it. The N-halamine accordingly becomes deposited on the surface of the article after the inert liquid carrier penetrates into the article. This method can be used to provide odor resistance to a variety of substrates, including garbage bags. It can also be used to deposit other functional particulates onto the surface of substrates having sufficient porosity to take up the vehicle. For instance, such functional particles can be oxidants that display antimicrobial and/or enzyme inhibitory efficacy or particles having toxin interaction potentials through oxidative degradation or adsorption of toxic substances in air and/or water, such as fluoride uptake by metal oxide microparticles.
