UV STERILIZER
Proposed is a UV sterilizer. In a UV sterilizer according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a light source module that emits ultraviolet (UV) light is provided between an upper body and a lower body where a fluid flows, thereby sterilizing a fluid by irradiating the flowing fluid with UV light.
System for treating a fluid with non-mercury-based UV light
The present invention generally relates to a system for treating a fluid and specifically to a treatment system configured for improved bacterial reduction, wherein the system comprises a field emission based UV light source adapted to emit light within a ultraviolet C (UVC) spectrum with a wavelength range having an upper range limit being higher compared to light emitted from a mercury based UV light source.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR STERILISING A FLUID FLOWING THERETHROUGH
The invention relates to a device for sterilising a fluid flowing therethrough, said device comprising: a container having an inlet for receiving the fluid and having an outlet for discharging the fluid from the container; a body having a surface which is at least in part curved, the body being positioned within the container in such a way that the fluid flowing into the container via the inlet washes over or around at least part of said body at least in the region of its surface that is curved. The device also comprises a plurality of LEDs which are each designed to emit light having wavelengths in the range of UV radiation, preferably UV-C radiation. The LEDs are designed to irradiate the fluid washing over or around the curved surface of the body with the UV radiation of the LEDs.
PHOTOCATALYSIS AND DEVICE IMPLEMENTING SAME
A method and apparatus for photodegradation of pollutants using a modular baffled wastewater purification tank. Baffle surfaces are lined with a photocatalyst film and arrange in such a way to provide liquid turbulence and increased time for the photodegradation processes to occur. For certain embodiments, after water treatment, the baffle walls may be washed, regenerated, and re-introduced in the water treatment tank. The water treatment tank includes a series of UV lamps placed on the top of the photocatalytic chamber. Because of the modular design of the baffled purification system, the water treatment and the change of baffle pads can take place singly or simultaneously.
Ultraviolet light treatment chamber
An apparatus for the treatment of a liquid that includes a chamber having at least one inner surface, the chamber adapted for passage of a fluid therethrough. The chamber is at least 80 percent enclosed. The apparatus also includes an optional ultraviolet-transmissive tube disposed within the chamber and also adapted for the passage of the liquid therethrough. The apparatus further includes an ultraviolet lamp disposed within the chamber and, optionally, within the ultraviolet-transmissive tube. A reflective material is interposed between the chamber and the transmissive tube. The reflective material is adapted so as to reflect at least a portion of light emitted by the ultraviolet lamp, wherein the reflective material is at least 80 percent reflective.
HEAT DISSIPATION APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR UV-LED PHOTOREACTORS
A UV reactor irradiates a flow of fluid with UV radiation. The reactor comprises: a fluid conduit defined by a heat conducting conduit body comprising one or more heat conducting walls for permitting a flow of fluid therethrough; a UV-LED operatively connected to a PCB and oriented for directing radiation into the fluid conduit. The PCB comprises a heat conducting substrate having a first surface. The conduit body is in thermal contact with the first surface of the heat conducting substrate. Heat is dissipated from the UV-LED via the heat conducting substrate, the thermal contact between the first surface of the heat conducting substrate and the heat conducting conduit body, and from the one or more heat conducting walls of the heat conducting conduit body to the fluid flowing through the fluid conduit.
Quartz sleeve support for a UV-lamp
An apparatus for the treatment of water includes an elongated housing having a first end and a second end. The first end has a water inlet and the second end has a water outlet. An elongated ultraviolet radiation source with a sleeve is concentrically located within the elongated housing. The elongated ultraviolet radiation source has, at its first end, electrical connections, which extend through the second end of the housing and have a second free end held in a support element. The support element includes a supporting structure containing a ring element and from thereon radially inwardly running arms. The arms are designed in such a way that during assembly the arms are resiliently deformed and wherein, if assembled, the arms are pressed against the sleeve, so that the free end of the ultraviolet radiation source is held by the arms in a resilient manner.
UV reactor with PTFE diffuser
A UV reactor for treating water, the reactor includes a UV source, a tube positioned around the UV source, a surrounding structure coaxially surrounding the tube, a flow path positioned between the tube and the surrounding structure for the flow of water to be treated, and a diffusive surface positioned around the surrounding structure to reflect UV light from the UV source back into the flow path.
Apparatus and methods for water treatment
The invention provides a water treatment apparatus and method of use. The apparatus comprises an inlet configured to be connected to a source of liquid to be treated, and at least one liquid treatment vessel arranged to expose liquid in the vessel to ultraviolet radiation in an advanced oxidation process reaction. A source of ultraviolet radiation comprises a longitudinal axis oriented substantially parallel to a direction of flow of liquid past the source. A boundary surface between the source and a liquid to be treated is provided with one or more cleaning elements arranged longitudinally on the boundary surface. The cleaning elements and the boundary surface are arranged to be rotationally moveable relative to one another around the longitudinal axis of the source.
FLUID STERILIZATION APPARATUS
A fluid sterilization apparatus includes: a flow passage tube in which a processing passage where a passing fluid is sterilized is formed; a first light source that irradiates the processing passage with ultraviolet light; an inflow passage formed in a direction that intersects an outer circumferential surface of the flow passage tube; and a communication passage that causes the inflow passage to communicate with the processing passage. The communication passage has a narrow passage in the middle of a path from the inflow passage toward an opening of a first end, the narrow passage being narrower than a passage toward the inflow passage.
