A wrist strap assembly for a mobile device includes a case and a wrist strap. The case includes a bottom wall. A sidewall is disposed around a perimeter of the bottom wall and extends from the bottom wall to an upper distal end of the sidewall. The sidewall and bottom wall define an inner cavity sized to receive a mobile device therein. A channel is disposed around the upper distal end of the sidewall. The wrist strap is configured to have a stored position and a deployed position. When the wrist strap is in the stored position, the wrist strap is configured to frictionally fit within the channel of the case. When the wrist strap is in the deployed position, the wrist strap is configured to fit around the wrist of a user and to be connected to the case to secure the case to the user's wrist.

A lanyard attachment device and lanyard system using the same is disclosed herein. The lanyard attachment device includes a first leg portion, the first leg portion configured to be attached to a first end of a lanyard; a second leg portion, the second leg portion configured to be attached to a second end of the lanyard; and a base portion connected to the first leg portion and the second leg portion. The first leg portion, the second leg portion, and the base portion collectively defining a closed-ended slot for receiving a stem portion of a device holder. The lanyard system includes a lanyard and a lanyard attachment device configured to be attached to the lanyard.

Various embodiments are directed to strap assemblies for securing a mobile device relative to an arm of a user and methods of using the same. Various embodiments are directed to a strap assembly comprising a strap panel comprising a rachet cable tension adjustment slot, a ratchet assembly for selective tightening of the strap assembly towards an arm and comprising a ratchet element on the strap panel; a dynamic cable attachment element disposed within the rachet cable tension adjustment slot and configured to move along a length of the rachet cable tension adjustment slot; and a ratchet cable extending between the ratchet element and the dynamic cable attachment element and having a looped cable portion configured for attachment to the dynamic cable attachment element; wherein the dynamic cable attachment element is movable along the length of the rachet cable tension adjustment slot in response to forces imparted from the ratchet cable.

A device tethering system is provided for securing a device to a source location as may be assisted by a tether. The device tethering system may include a retraction component, tether, pouch, belt, device mounting component, device aspect of the device mounting component, and/or tether aspect of the device mounting component. A method for securing a device to a source location using the device tethering system is also provided.

A handle for holding a mobile device with at least one finger has a first element attachable to a back of the mobile device, and a second element pivotally connected to the first element for pivoting around a pivot axis extending in an axial direction, the second element includes at least two branches spaced from one another in a direction which is parallel to the axial direction and each having a finger receiving opening, in a folded position of the first and second elements the second element extends along the back of the mobile device, while in a pivoted away position of the second element relative to the first element the first and second elements are located at an angle relative to one another, and each of the branches of the second elements has a first portion located closer to the pivot axis and a second portion located farther from the pivot axis and formed so that when a finger of a user is introduced into the finger receiving opening of any of the branches it is surrounded by the first portion of said branch which is located closer to the pivot axis and the second portion of the branch which is located farther from the pivot axis correspondingly from two sides.

A device incorporating both a magnet and a living hinge may be employed to construct cases to protect electronic devices and to function as a closure for cases and lidded containers. Such cases often can be bent three 360° allowing the cases to be either closed protecting devices therein are closed upon themselves allowing the case to function to secure an electronic device to a substrate such as an article of clothing. The devices of the disclosure can also be used to organize and hold loose items together.

Provided is a receptacle system, including a receptacle chassis that defines a volume and that defines, at an edge of the receptacle chassis, an aperture that provides access to the volume. The receptacle chassis includes a first face that is adjacent the volume, and a second face that is opposite the receptacle chassis from the first face and that is adjacent to an exterior volume. The receptacle chassis includes an object securing system that is included on at least one of the first face or the second face, and that is configured to secure the receptacle chassis to an object. Also, provided is a receptacle template system, including a planar member defines a first slot and a second slot that extend through the planar member from a first face to a second face and that are configured to receive a cutting device.

A protective case for a mobile device includes a base member that consists of a frontside, backside, and side walls which are shaped to fit and hold a mobile phone, a plurality of openings for accessing ports of the mobile phone, and a wallet component on the backside that includes a lid that can be opened or remain closed by a pair of magnetic members. The cover structure also includes a cord insert that attaches to the frontside of the base member. The opposite end of the cord insert has one or more clamps that securely hold a cord that can be used for holding and carrying the mobile device.

An extendable grip for a mobile device includes a base configured to couple with a mobile device or a case of the mobile device. The plurality of elastic elements are coupled with the base at a first end. The plurality of elastic elements are coupled with a top at a second end. The plurality of elastic elements are configured to provide an expansion force that biases the top away from the base towards a neutral position when in the collapsed position. The base and the top are configured to produce a magnetic force that biases the top and the base towards one another. The extendable grip has the neutral position and a collapsed position. A distance between the top and the base is greater in the neutral position than in the collapsed position. The magnetic force is stronger than the expansion force in the retracted position.

A mounting assembly that can couple to a case for handheld electronic devices is disclosed herein. The mounting assembly can include a ring that can be rotated between deployed and stowed configurations. The ring can include flat edges flat edges that can securely support the case at an angle relative to a support surface. The mounting assembly can include a mount with a magnet that can be used to couple the case with the handheld electronic device therein to magnetic surfaces.
